On a serious note though........ since changing to Powershift my daily usage has dropped from £3.10 to under £2.
Yesterday was only £1.05 but I only did one load of washing so thats probably why its so low.
Even so a drop of £1 per day over an average month is a saving of £30 (just incase you couldn't work that out  )
I know that'll go back up once the increase kicks in on the 1st Oct .But hopefully we'll end up paying around about the same each month as on the old rate.
yes mine has dropped as well, only maybe by a £1 but all adds up. I think it makes you more careful as well though. I counted up at weekend normal use for washer/dryer/dishwasher/shower and on new tariff compared to powershift worked out like this.
On new normal tarriff for what I would have used per week:
10 washing machine a week
10 dryer per week
7 dishwasher per week
18 showers a week ( 4 fulltime and 3 part-time in house )
would work out at £16.70
On powershift
10 washing machine a week on low tarriff only
3 Tumble dryer per week on low tarriff only, drying clothes outside and on airers as heating is on at night.
4 dishwasher per week on low tarriff only, as heating on and have hot water been washing up by hand as much as possible.
18 showers, 10 on low tarriff and 8 on medium tarriff due to work hours.
this is work out at £5.61 for above.
I know it may not always work out like this but this is already a saving of over £10 per week which covers the 33% increase as we were putting between £25-£30 per week in recently.
lets hope it works out like this, I am hoping £20 a week will cover my electric lol

I'd recommend getting the keypad meter in anyway. That way you know you're only paying for what you use. Not what the NIE predict you will use.
power shift tarrif
I also think you will be more aware of your usage this way.......0 -

You can buy electricity online , you get your code and as usual type it into you prepay meter.
Still a helluva lot handier than having to traipse to the corner shop etc if you run out.How does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?0 -

I was able to work out the usage by the instuction books. It tells you the consumption , kwh ( kilowatt an hour) I usually use the same program on washer etc .
I am sure someone else can explain it better lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -

During the weekend does the high rate of 27.630 apply at all?
Im currently on the std rate of 17.280 on my keypad meter and thinking of switching over to powershift.
Just wondering if this would benefit me at all, only the 2 of us, I work 9-5 and OH works shifts. During 4-7 & 5-8 obviously making dinner, tv on and probably the PC too, heating on then during the winter also. How would I work this out?
