Missleading Pictures

 I placed an order with The Mattress Man (who are part of online beds) on the 26th Aug for a king size divan with a base that split vertical as the picture shows on the web site. It arrived yesterday 22nd with half a hours notice that it was coming. After it was delivered I noticed the base was made with the split horizontal so I called them this morning to say the wrong base had been delivered and the guy on the phone says I got what I ordered and it states on the web site that the picture was for illustrtion purposes only and is only for the super king size bed ( cannot find this info) . I told him that I did'nt want the bed as it was not what i thought i had ordered he then told me they do not know when they could pick it up and it would cost me £40 to return it  . Sorry for rambling on but is there anything I can do about this.

Is there a problem with the base being split the other way?

Are all king-size beds not split horizontally rather than vertically?
  • Can you post a link to the bed on the MM site, please?

hmmm.. here's the info about pics being for illustrative purposes. Clicky

Scroll down, it's right at the bottom next to the Online Beds logo. Not sure if they'd get away with that, as it's not the normal size print of the general terms and conditions.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
