Bankrupt Today 22.09.08

Well I phoned up the Accountant in Bankruptcy Office (Scotland) this afternoon to check that they had received my Statutory Declaration Form 17 (basically a form to sign that all the information that I had provided in my initial application was correct and true) and was told by a very courteous man that my bankruptcy award had actually been granted today:eek: I should receive written confirmation plus paper proof of the award by the end of the week. Beyond that he said, as my bankruptcy was awarded because I qualified for the Low Income Low Assets route, I will probably not hear from them again and will be automatically discharged one year from today:T All seems too good to be true:rolleyes: and although I feel some relief I also feel disappointed and ashamed that I let myself get into a position that bankruptcy was my only viable option:o
I just want to thank all the lovely, helpful and supportive people on this forum :T :T :T and I will stick around in case I can be of help to anyone especially those going through the Scottish system.
Thanks once again:hello:

Well done and welcome to the club.
I went through the same feeling when i went BR but believe it or not you soon get over and i bet like all of us on here you realise that it was not of your doing and like you say you have no other option. You will then find yourself a lot stronger and have a renewed zest for your new life.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Well, Phil.....I can see why you went to see it 4 times....it was fantastic, everybody in the cinema was singing and clapping along....a real feel good film. I was :rotfl: so much I forgot to cry;)
Dalip, I would thoroughly recommend it....there were quite a few guys there tonight and they seemed to be enjoying it as much as their female partners....I'm sure your other half would enjoy it...maybe not 4 timesbut certainly once. If he really doesn't fancy it go with a couple of female friends but whatever you do....GO!
:j

Hiya EternalOptimist
I'm so glad to hear that all the uncertainty and waiting is over, and you can move forward now.
Oh, and thanks to everyone for the recommendation for Mamma Mia. I think I might just go and see it!
