help !cheap contract with decent phone

Hi there
My daughter wants to go on contract and has saved her paper money for months to allow for any over spends.
What I need to know is can anyone help me find a cheap deal as many free minutes and txts as possible for the lowest price. I dont mind subsadising her monthly bill a little if its on a good cashback deal. Idealy she doesnt want to go above £15 a month herself.
This will however be going through me as she is not yet old enough to have her own named contract.
I can top up by £10- £15 a month if on cashback to make it better handset and call plan for her. pref more minutes x-net all day she currently has 02 payg with free txt each month but finds it hard to call peeps when she really needs to although some more txts may also be a good idea as uses megga amounts per month.

If anyone finds any fantastic deals on bundles and phones out there i would be more than happy to hear from you and go look them up .

regards
Crystal

Forget cashback - when it turns sour you're left to carry the can. There's no stigma to pre-pay - ASDAs 8p/min and 4p texts is hard to beat, especially when you're not having to make pointless call so that you use up the free monthly minutes. Also, she has to be 18 or over to have a contract - don't even think about getting one in your name and passing it on if she's under age.

Why not go on a sim only deal - T Mobile have one for £15 a month for 350 mins and 650 txts no contract just renew monthly.

How about going with three - they have a special deal at the moment for £25 per month you get 750 mins and unlimited text - you also get a free phone - best ones are nokia n95 or samsung soal.

you also get £80 cashback from quidco and £30 recommend a friend.

on an 18 month deal that would work out including the cashback of £18.90 per month.
  • if you are a virgin media tv customer they are offering a phone with contract for £10 a month.
  • I`m a virgin customer could I do the £10 contract with phone if wanted and give phone to daughter for her birthday? she will be 12. Only asking because of the earlier posing. Thanks

Go via Quidco for a cracking deal from Phones4U. 12 month contract, free rental for 12 months via cashback, which is not difficult to organise.
Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.
  • 75 Minutes / 500 Texts - Vodafone Sim Only 1 month rolling contract - £10 per month.

No handset but a good allowance.
  • Thanks all for the help, its much appreciated.

Can I ask how these rolling contracts work? can you cancel anytime and what happens when you want to go to another provider do you just take sim card out and put another one in? (you`d have a different number then?)

Is there anyway to keep a check on how much you`ve used each month - I`m sure she would be quite controlled to begin with but ... from experience of neighbours son it can be scary when they loose control!!

Really am grateful for the help. Thanks

Hi, i've got both my sons on the £10 rolling contract with virgin.
They will run for as long as you want them but you are only contracted for a month at a time :j

There is a number you can call on your phone to check how many mins txts are left and you can also manage your account online.
