This would be better in the homebargains thread. They have had buffy vhs videos (3 pack box sets) for 99p. Helped my girlfriend's collection on a little :)

Look out for re-useable handwarmers at 99p each.
They are in small flat boxes with pills and dressings etc.
You press a small metal disc inside and they generate heat for about 20 mins.
They are re-activated by boiling them up in a saucepan.
I bought similar ones from boots a couple of years ago for 5.99 each if my memory serves me correctly.
They are brilliant for reynauds sufferers like me.(Cold ,dead hands in winter)

    In Retford this morning:

Several different Barbie sets: Pegasus, Fairytopia, Mermaidia.

Large box set of 12 children's CDs, over 400 songs, stories and rhymes, pretty retro illustrations, RRP £20, for £4.99.

  • In the Sheffield HB, they have videos at 0.59 now. Some decent ones too.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Thanks, will look out for some of those. My left fingers have been numb and useless since mid-September and the rest of my hands haven't been warm since about August!

great looking Xmas boxes for dvd's for 39p - but why the f*** do they put stickers on them that you can't get off without ruining the box?

try a small amount of furniture polish

this sprayed on the sticker will loosen the glue and will enable to sticker to be removed

then polish the box with what remains of the polish
Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO

Try heating the sticker with a hair dryer or an iron. It loosens the glue and the sticker can be peeled off witout doing any damage. If any glue is left behind, dab it with a strip of sellotape or masking tape, that usually brings it off.
