I hope that if Lloyds TSB do eventually agree to scrap mine that they reduce my payments rather than the term because I could really do with the extra money now.

  • I had a reply from Lloyds TSB yesterday regarding the cancellation request I sent them on Tuesday:

"I am just writing to let you know that we've received your complaint - and to say how sorry I am to learn that you're unhappy with us.

You have my assurance that one of our assistant managers will investigate the concerns you have raised with us - this may take a little time but I would expect our enquiries to be complete within the coming 2 weeks. We will then be able to respond in full to your complaint and at that stage, I hope, resolve matters between us.

In case you haven't received a copy of our leaflet called 'How to voice you concerns' I've enclosed one with this letter. This tells you all you need to know about resolving your complaint with us.

    Yours sincerely
    Stacy Cope
    Assistant Manager"

Nothing too exciting, but at least they have acknowledged my letter and are looking into it. Certainly a far better initial response than asquiths above received from the Yorkshire Bank. :(

Same letter I got back. They didnt enclose the leaflet in mine the silly sods

And had they agreed by the next time you heard from them, or did you have to argue your case a bit more before they scrapped your PPI?

Once they did scrap it, did they reduce the term or the monthly payments?

  • I got it done, have chosen to reduce my monthly payments, but i can still make additional payments if i want to as its flexible so i can then reduce the term in theory if needed.
No talk of refunding what i had already paid though.
Chap was a bit rude to be fair.

Glad you got a result, even if you didn't get a refund.

I really hope I get a positive response from Lloyds TSB.
