Was I the last one to start and the first one back embb?

I've sorted the washing out and loaded the WM
Put 2 lots of rubbish out
    Put yesterday's dishes away
Washed the breakfast dishes and the cups, etc. I collected from the kids' rooms while I was at it
Cleared and wiped the main work surface (the other 2 need decluttering!)
    Cleaned the microwave

So not too bad, what have you been up to embb?

Oooh, Mudbath, a puppy so quickly, I am sooo pleased for you... let us know what happens as soon as you can...

Good news on the holiday front! Where are you off to?
Tenerife - only on the golf del sur, really quiet but they have karaoke and beer and sun and a heated pool so we should be laughing... plus coz it's a timeshare we've rented, there is cooker, fridge, ect so we will be shopping in icelands and stuff so not loads to eat out all the time and a cooked brekkie every morning (on holiday the rule is kids wash up or we go away on our own so don't mind cooking and it seems more fun too for some very strange reason:rotfl: )... can't wait - only about 10 weeks to go... :j :j :j

How accurate do circles have to be when drawing elements do we think? Do I need a pair of compassess or can I freehand draw some kind of scrawl?

Don't know if you still need this, but do the kids have any of those ruler/geometry things with the holes and stuff in them? if they do, you can just use one of those, or use a 1p/2p/5p/10p depending on the size you want?

    Morning
Right did nothing last night even ordered a takeaway for tea as a treat and I was feeling lazy after 3 hours in town with the kids. Spent the evening chilling and watching TV then went to bed with 2 night time cold and flu pills. Wow knocked me out and I slept like a log so woke up feeling refreshed and just a bit bunged up with my cold.

Still in my dressing gown but have had a cuppa and sorted the washing (except DD’s who’s too bone idle to pick it up and bring it down so her school clothes are gonna look like carp next week but she’ll learn). Our bed stripped and airing, windows open, one load already in (ok it is nearly 10 so I know its not a lot done).

Shelley3774 - Welcome to the thread, hope you manage to get somewhere with your flying, and that you have fun along the way. I’m also in a 5 bed house (but only 1 bathroom + cloakroom!) and work fulltime with kids aged 16 and 9 so appreciate the problems. Suggest possibly looking at the first page where there is now a full list and see how you could fit some of it round your routine so that you do less on your work days.

Michelle – your post 929 is lovely and who would care if your house is a tip because the comment about listening to DS2 and watching him play with his toes is wonderful. Appreciate those moments

Sexymouse – I hope you did better in the gym than I did, paid £450 for the year and went er 3 times

Mudbath - forgot to say fingers crossed for the pooch

Childrens TV - I remember most of the ones you’re talking about, The Clangers, The Wombles, banana splits, Rhubarb and Custard. Anyone remember Crystal Tips and Alastair and a bit later Willow the Wisp with evil Edna the horrible TV (that’s what my ex work mate the bully became known as)

    OUTSTANDING LIST

GO! buy yourself some flowers from the shop.. your reward for making the kitchen shine! - DS says he's going to buy himself flowers tomorrow

    Morning all :)

Had a lovely day yesterday, well aft & eve. Had a freebie 3 course meal with clubcard vouchers at bella Italia then a wander in London then a pint in a pub before champagne at the opera house. The production was great though not the best we’ve seen. Got home about 11.45 so pretty much straight to bed then. Unfortunately about half way through the afternoon my nose started runnint and hasn’t stopped, so have a cold now! Woke up at 8, tried to get back to sleep but abandoned the idea at 8.45. Did a few jobs and then I’ve just been catching up on here - DH still fast asleep.

I remember ‘how we used to live’ and the proper playschool, also button moon and bagpuss are my era (I’m 30).

Pigpen – our neighbours are noisy sometimes too, usually on Thursday afts when they seem to be in (DH’s study afternoon) and they play awful music loudly (think the music that’s on when you go to the curry house). DH has taken to playing his opera loud to counteract it, my feeling is that it will just become a battle that way but he knows best (apparently!) I hate Asda too!

    Tia – hugs to DS.

Boddy – thanks for the reminder, I’ve just remembered I have some Echinacea liquid.

Kaz – how lovely that DS took you out.

Polka – DH’s fave beer is old peculiar and I’m rather partial to it too ;)

Sexymouse – I love bodybalance! I really need to lose weight, I’ve put on 2 stone since my wedding and feel uncomfortable at the moment. Problem is I have no motivation and after commuting the last thing I feel like is the gym.
Must start following the ww plan at home, I know I can do it, I just need to make myself!

Dusty – our internet is with sky, part of a package with HDtv (every channel under the sun though there’s still never anything decent on!) and phone.

Mudbath – you’ll be on your way now – thinking of you :)

Lil_me –shame in some ways about the club but as you say you’ll get your time back. He may be ok for beavers as they don’t start til 6 I think.

Michelle – enjoy the time with the boys, you only get it once. I am sure the house is not all that bad.

There I am, been awake since 6am (no idea why considering it was gone midnight when I went to bed), up since 6.30, downstairs dressed and doing jobs since 7am and ex has just text me to say there's a problem with the trains and he's not going to be here until nearly midday

Right, sooooo erm... HHC plan :
    • Put washing out (bedding)
    • Hoover livingroom
    • Take dry laundry for my room upstairs (put away?)
    Also on todays list :
    • Towels washed
    • Dishes
    • Roast Pork - or in slowcooker
    • Hoover right through
    • Dust right through
    • Filing
    • Ironing
    • Clean bathroom
    • Trim DD's fringe
    • Sewing repairs (tonight while watching TV)
    • Gardening?
    Off I go.....
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

  • Kaz – must have missed your post somehow, but sounds like your DS has to wear a suit for one day or something??? Like everyone else has said, surely school uniform would be more appropriate. After all, isn't that why they have it in the first place to stop discrimination?
CraftyScolar - Sorry about your dentist - he sounded like a nice guy.
Seems like loads of HHC's early yesterday morning... I was tucked up in my bed and it was lovely... although Tag, what did you put in your DHs drink? he seemed busy - and whatever it was, can I have some for my hubby too please? Ooh, and well done on weight loss goodscales.gif - presume you wanted to lose it!

Depressing week. DS2 has a flamin great big plastic splint to wear at night time, and next month he gets one to wear during the day too! All because he got 'forgotten about' by the OT department and now his fingers are all messed up.
Did not go out and shout at little bissom who pushed DS2 and then kicked him when she was on the swing and laughed. Kids are so bloody evil!
How disgusting of the OT dept - how did they forget him? was it the 'little bissom' who did this to him? Can anything be done re his fingers? Hope everything is sorted out for him soon and don't worry about the house, etc, that will still be there whenever you get to it - take time out for you and yours first... smileyhug.gif

Up to page 44 - have found out how PigPen gets her revenge - good on your hubby for doing that - and plus I suppose you are getting some jobs done, did he realise that when you got him doing it?... two blows with one hit eh! you're good esteemed leader...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
