of course - because there are places beginning with Pen in Wales - like Penmaenmawr (apologies for spelling). And doesn't Dilligaf look Welsh?
Yes it does - and I just gave in and googled it :rotfl:

    Anyone remember the Clangers?

Oh and good luck for your puppy Mudbath.
If you are still looking for a name how about Defor?

    Morning

Fingers crossed for today Mudbath I'm all excited for you.
Valli I didn't know Charlotte Coleman had died - what a shame and I love Four weddings...
    Welcome Shelley :hello:

I remember most of the programmes you've all been reminiscing about - Pipkins was my favourite. Does anyone remember The Cedar Tree? It was on at dinner times after the kids programmes, my mum used to watch it and I did up until I had to go back to school after dinner lol

It's nice and sunny here again today so plenty of washing to be hung out, you'll never guess what I did last night - I Ironed! I brought the washing in and stood and ironed it - I still have no idea what came over me.....and now I'm eyeing up the pile of washing I folded yesterday and still haven't taken upstairs...it won't last!

Living room curtains didn't get put up but here's why.......It was the wrong pole, it turned out that there would have been a 6" gap from the top of the curtain to the top of the window so I didn't bother BUT he put it up in littleys room and now she's got pink sparkly net things up that I've had for well over a year - so WOO! :j

Going to visit GD today, haven't seen her for 2 weeks so I'll bet I see a change. Then we're off shopping - for nothing inparticular just cause we can and because it's tradition (Sunday shopping & lunch out - usually KFC sat in the car by the river) got a few bits & bobs to do round here too.

    Empty DW
    reload DW
    S&S kitchen
    hang washing out
    IRON??
    hoover through
    prep tea
    get uniforms/work uniforms ready
    fill in SA form
    put away washing/ironing
    make beds
    sort finances (cash)
    do dinner money envelope.

I'll probs add to it as I'm doing stuff cause one thing inevitably leads to another.

    Cuppa time....

    Morning All

Notice Valli is still in bed after some of us lightweights have been up for a couple of hours!;)

Mudbath - another hour and you'll be off - bet you can't wait!

I want to try and sort the LR out today and clean the bathroom. I've also got some work to do and some washing so we'll see how we get on.

Oooooh I almost forgot, what do you do with sweet potatos, my friend gave me some the other day and I haven't got a clue what to do with them.....

I've dug the halogen fire out the shed cause it's freezing in this room on a morning now, my feet are like ice, mind you, they wouldn't be if I did some work instead of reading things on here BUT it is Sunday. Now it's time to switch it off it's been on long enough - I'm such a tight-wad. On with the list....

    Morning everyone,

I've decided to go to the gym this morning and make the most of having woken up early - will just go for a swim, but OH has plans to watch DIY on a Sunday on QVC, so I'd just be waiting around for him to watch that anyway.

Valli you asked what I'm reading to OH - Silent Boy by Torey Hayden.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you this morning mudbath (well at least until I get into the pool cos it's hard to swim with crossed fingers lol). I'll be checking in when I get home to see if there is any news.

Serena I hope you're well - I must send you an email when I get home too. I expect you're making the most of this unseasonal sunshine and you're on your allotment.

Pigpen well done for making your mammoth list so much shorter in such a short space of time. Incidentally was college any more exciting this week?

GnB how is uni going? Have you managed to get to any more lectures?

Dusty how were the anniversary celebrations? Did you do anything nice?

Good morning julie and embb. Nice to see others up at this time on a Sunday.

embb I make jacket potatoes out of sweet potatoes - I stick them in the microwave - they take a bit longer than normal spuds, but it'll depend on their size. Then I top them with cottage cheese - sounds a bit wierd, but it goes really well together.

Well I'd better go an change into my swimming stuff and go before the pool gets too busy. Will be having breakfast when I get home as I'm hoping this will burn off more calories this way.

    See you all later,

    sexymouse xx

I have a brand new pair of girls pink curtains with Butterflies/flowers on if anyone would like them? I was gonna put them up last night but found they were too short, they're nowt special and a little on the thin side but ok for the summer. Size: 66" x 54".

Morning ladies another beautiful morning has dawned here.

Sexy - we went out on a walk with the kids/visited the village where my family tree has lead us - kids spent ages reading the graves and then stopped at a pub for dinner.

Soappie - not seen you post for a while so hope you are ok.

Vanilla hope you are ok hun, miss your posts.

Going to get the washing on the line and into the shower. I have the joy of the football run today but I'm going to wear my trainers and do some 'power walking whilst there'

Mudbath so hoping all goes well with the pup
