Oooh, just to add to the old tv stuff - does anyone remember black beauty, wild horses and the lightning tree? - "go, go, the lightning tree, never give in so easily" he he, I still make up words to songs when I don't remember them...

    You mean Follyfoot http://follyfoot-tv.co.uk/
and yeah..I remember it - bit of a horsey theme running through that one!
    and 'The kids from 47A'
15 and PLAYING WITH A BALL IN THE HOUSE!

***looks for file named 'Riot Act'***

pasted from above website - had to deal with DS!

Theme song, sung by "The Settlers" and written by Steven Francis.
(OPENING CREDITS PLAY OVER THE TOP)
DOWN IN THE MEADOW WHERE THE WIND BLOWS FREE
IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIELD STANDS THE LIGHTNING TREE
ITS LIMBS ALL TORN FROM THE DAY IT WAS BORN
FOR THE TREE WAS BORN IN A THUNDER STORM

    (CHORUS)
GROW GROW THE LIGHTNING TREE, ITS NEVER TOO LATE FOR YOU AND ME
GROW GROW THE LIGHTNING TREE, NEVER GIVE IN TOO EASILY.

DOWN IN THE MEADOW WHERE THE WIND BLOWS FREE
A WHISPERING BREEZE IN THE LIGHTNING TREE
DREAMS COME TRUE IF YOU WANT THEM TOO
IF YOU WANT THEM TO, THEN ITS UP TO YOU

    (CHORUS)
GROW GROW THE LIGHTNING TREE, ITS NEVER TOO LATE FOR YOU AND ME
GROW GROW THE LIGHTNING TREE, NEVER GIVE IN TOO EASILY
(FINISHES WITH) LIGHTNING TREE, LIGHTNING TREE.
    (END OPENING CREDITS)

Think you did well to remember that song and the lyrics!
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

In my (just over) HHC I:

*cleared out undersink cupboard & reorganised - relocated lightbulbs & WD40 to spare room, found some ancient floor wipes (bought in £1 shop) which I've rehydrated and will use for bathroom today to get them out of the way
*glued wooden end back on our bed
*folded & put away washing from airer
*collected more laundry - full load waiting now
*put clean pots away from drainer

next thing for me is a shower, then get the WM on. Going for a quick stroll at 1pm with DH when he's having a study break so I'd better make sure i'm ready by then!

  • Hello everyone,
Not been on for a bit (this thread anyway!) so hope all are surviving ok :).
Just to say that I will still be doing flylady but have decided to do my own list- basically cos some days I have no spare time with DS classes etc and other days enough time to do everything (although not often enough energy  ). I am hoping still to check pigpens list and pick out some extra of her bits if I have time (as the lists are good :)) but if no time to pop on/post at least I can do my own list then.
I will also hopefully pop on for the odd HHC/HHI etc as its great to have us doing these things together!
Ok, keep up the good work ladies, will hopefully be able to pop on soon

Lay in bed reading all morning and am now feeling guilty looking at how much the rest of you have done.

The washing I left on the line last night is nearly dry, so I can put the duvet & mattress topper on the line to air, put some more washing in and try to get the bedroom under control...

back later with and update, and hopefully Mudbath will be back by then with news on her doggie!

OMG... I've just found an interview that I did for work in May and thought hadn't been broadcast. It's on You Tube and the starting frame shows me obviously mid-sentence with my mouth wide open! And now I can't get the thing to play to see how bad it is... Got it working... having to watch it with my eyes shut!
