Er.. that would be a no (for a start, being men, they didn't tell me that the stupid name tag I had on for the conference looked really silly on camera :o ) It's bad enough that I've got to get it checked by the CSR people at work to make sure they're happy with the content. I'd gone along to talk about green IT and ended up having to talk about windfarms...

:jWe have survived the party/meal out with ten 16 year olds without any drama, tears, drunken behaviour or tantrums......and that's just from me.:D

Actually it all went rather well, they were well behaved and we had a lovely meal, chinese all you can eat, thus saving me cooking and having to deal with everyone preferences. Then back to ours for a horror movie and snacks and a little lambrini for them lot.

Because everything was fairly in order and tidy beforehand, it's not taken very much to get it back in shape after all DD's friends went home.

Well there are 2 still here but that's manageable.

So for the first time ever I do not feel overwhelmed with tidying up or anything.

I have even got all school uniforms washed and dried ready for tomorrow. For me, someone who is normally v. chaotic, this is a nice feeling, I feel I have some time to get other stuff done and not overloaded.

Thanks to you all for getting me fairly shipshape.

To be honest we don't normally ever invite anyone round as we're so ashamed (usually) of the state of the house. And yes whilst many areas still need decorating, (insurance will do the hall and stairs due to leaking roof) and kitchen is work in progress.......it's all good because it's clean and tidy....without everything being haphazardly stuffed in cupboards, drawers or under beds.

Amazing really, still got tons to sort and clear but it seems to have had a knock on effect on everyone with everyone pitching in and helping.

    Good 'ere innit.:smileyhea x

Pigpen well done for making your mammoth list so much shorter in such a short space of time. Incidentally was college any more exciting this week?

Not very challenging but slightly less dull.. it was that it was the first week so loads of repetition I think
Did I miss something? what have your neighbours been up to?

Waking me up at 3:45am.. and waking tiddles.. and being inconsiderately loud at midnight.. but I shall be having a 'nice' word.

Pigpen – our neighbours are noisy sometimes too, usually on Thursday afts when they seem to be in (DH’s study afternoon) and they play awful music loudly (think the music that’s on when you go to the curry house). DH has taken to playing his opera loud to counteract it, my feeling is that it will just become a battle that way but he knows best (apparently!) I hate Asda too!

Ours just need training.. middle class brats... they are so used to living in suburbia and being allowed to do as they please they think it is normal to behave like this.. I hate them.. God help me next year when I am with them 5 days a week lol I think my MP3 player may come into its own!

Pigpen - hope you and yours got a good night's sleep with no disturbances or rudeness from your inconsiderate neighbours. Lady across the road getting very uptight with some of the behaviour over there and has removed the wheelie bin which has been outside hers since Thursday...she has the lorry parked right outside her house and is well cheesed off!

I'd report it to the police.. say it obstructing access.. if a fire engine or ambulance had to get down could it?
Up to page 44 - have found out how PigPen gets her revenge - good on your hubby for doing that - and plus I suppose you are getting some jobs done, did he realise that when you got him doing it?... two blows with one hit eh! you're good esteemed leader...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

He is just finishing off the doors and I see twitching curtains... lmao... :D

Triker.. do I get to come check over it with my white gloves??

Mudbath.. we are all on the edge of our seats here...

  • Well done Triker - you should be well proud of yourself - i totally agree that this thread and pigpens lists def help - like you I am not stuffing things out of sight and if someone calls round (not that it happens very often) it is reasonably acceptable - i am still ashamed of the state of my place as the renovation has been ongoing for years and like an eejit i started everywhere - ripping off wallpaper, lifted carpets etcetc and now everywhere is in a state of disrepair/mayhem !!! I need to try and get on with one room at a time but its a huge task!!!

pigpen you have been very industrious - college has certainly spurred you on to getting organised again - we work better when we have less time dont we!!!

I have just sat in the garden for my half hour off 'as prescribed' with a coffee - swept the paths and wrote up some of my budget book.

going to do some ebay now I think!

I hope the delay in hearing from mudbath is a good sign

    toots xx
