Well it'll be another late dinner for OH and I - I always get side-tracked when I come on here, and end up not making dinner.

Potato pesto bake is in the oven now - can't be bothered to make the bolognaise sauce to go with it now, so I'm going to do veggie burgers as they can just go in the microwave.

I was a naughty mouse the other day when I did the food shopping and bought the value chocolate desserts and creme caramels, then of course I had to buy 2 tins of tinned fruit (fruit salad or peach slices) to make me feel better about the naughty desserts. I wonder which one we'll have tonight?

Hope you're all well - must wash my hair in a minute cos I'm going to be watching hell's kitchen USA til late and I have an early start tomorrow to a school I've not been to before, so need to make a good impression.

I've just mopped my kitchen floor again, this time I used washing up liquid Its looking slightly better but then it is still wet. Can't hurry up the drying process as all my microfibre cloths are in the washing machine :rolleyes:

I've also put that instant glazing over the back door, not just the window but the panels as well. There's some cracks in the door and I noticed you can see daylight through some of them! :eek: Just waiting for the floor to dry then I'll go "stretch" it by heating it up and then sellotape around the edge for reassurance

Washing up, packed lunch for tomorrow and then bed for me...if the floor ever dries! :wave:

Dusting, even if around everything
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets

Extra Mission: Pick one or more of the following tasks
Clean windows & any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Wipe down any paintwork that needs it.
Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!! Get rid of those hideous things!!

Minging Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room


[strike]Cleared away tea things[/strike] - DS/DD and me
[strike]Emptied dishwasher [/strike]- DS
[strike]Reloaded some things into DW[/strike] - DS/DD
[strike]Washed and dried up the rest[/strike] - DS/DD and me

Level One
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/strike] - DS
Level Two
[strike]Sweep and mop floors [/strike]- me but not mopped as DS fell over it and broke it
[strike]Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there[/strike]! - done Sat
[strike]Wipe dining table.. [/strike]DS did
Level Three
[strike]Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round [/strike]- I did but forgot to look for cobwebs
[strike]Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc[/strike] - DS did
[strike]Wipe all the windows in these areas!! [/strike]- DS did
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards.. - we gave these a miss as done last week and timer ran out
[strike]Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters need to be done too!! [/strike]- DS did

Oh yes he's a tough nut !!! and the hard work doesnt last thats why I asked pigpen to move the kids rooms as we've all tailed off come the end of the week and their rooms need desparate mucking out.

No I don't remember the moon landing. I wasn't born;)
As for shillings.....I was born the year they went. Which is the only reason I know the year we went decimal. Do remember playing with them though cos they were used as 5p and 10p coins for a while weren't they.

So what's happening for your birthday then? You doing something nice?

Hi all

I'm sort of here! Still keeping up with the dailies, trying to do some of the flying but rather randomly eg I vacuumed upstairs this morning before I went to work.

:hello: to any newbies.

Can I have a MACAW challenge starting last week? Dip in A & P, Dip in Holistic Massage and Welsh lessons? Big change there, I think and I enjoyed them all. Looking forward to this week's lessons.

And MACAW for this week - to start using my gym membership properly - I've been in the gym for an hour this evening and have booked induction on a new piece of equipment for Friday, so I'll have to go then.

Anyway, the good news is that my DS is also doing the Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology but on a Thursday afternoon, so that will give him another qualification which is all good. :T He also started Guitar lessons last Wednesday evening.

I never did get caught up reading last week's thread as I spent Saturday morning in bed too sick to get up, but made an amazing recovery for a 30th wedding anniversary party in the evening. Then Sunday was spent moving furniture out of the dining room and ripping up the carpet, so next weekend we'll be starting work in there.

I'm off to read the thread. x
