  • Hi everyone - I can't believe how much I've got done in 2 hours this afternoon - I only have to Dyson the sitting room and get the kids to put some of their stuff away.

Mind you how sad am I - I actually had to print out the list so I could cross stuff off with a real pen - not so good at the motivation otherwise.

But thanks for the feeling that I'm not alone here:D

Minging Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Sweep and mop floors
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)[/strike]

    Level Three
[strike]Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Wipe all the windows in these areas!! [/strike]
Ds2 helped by standing on the kitchen units to do the top of the kitchen windows for me.

[strike]Clean[/strike] cupboard door fronts and [strike]fronts of appliances [/strike].. don't forget those kick boards..not this week:eek:
[strike]Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! [/strike]Tumble dryer, [strike]cooker hood and dishwasher filters [/strike]need to be done too!!
    Extra Mission : help yourself

    1. clean the hob.. done as the daily
    2. Wipe down any tiles and [strike]shine those taps[/STRIKE].and bleach the sink. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    3. [strike]29[/strike][strike] fling boogie[/strike]</B>..
    4. GO! buy yourself some flowers from the shop.. your reward for making the kitchen shine!
    5. Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET - did the compost caddy instead.
    6. Plus: dog bowls through the DW with the cooker hood, wiped all the pictures on the waLL in the dining area and decluttered the welsh dresser shelves. It looks a bit odd as we have a combined sitting room/ dining room and one half is clean and tidy and the other half is still a bit cobwebby - but I'm sure I'll catch up.
I'm so impressed with myself - did I mention that already:rolleyes: but compared with what I normally get done when I've been working in the morning:T
I also like the idea I can choose the level so I don't feel too pressured - wish I'd done this before.

    Evening all

Seems in my early morning not-yet-awake reading I mistook DeniseF for DeniseNZ - apologies to you both. I still adore egyptian cotton sheets though!

Very busy all day at work today - I really don't know where the time went - but that's good, it means I'm wasn't bored and the hard work over the weekend paid off. That's another project out the door.

I'm off tomorrow - going to meet the Mayor and have my photo taken with him as I hand over a cheque for the money we raised from the street collection last month. I have to sort something suitable out from the wardrobe shortly. Don't know what else I'll do with the day. If the weather's bad I might just visit the library and dig in the archives for a few hours. If it's half decent I might just wash the throws from the living furniture and stick them out.

Right, I'll fly in the hotspot that is my bedroom now I think

    Hi

I feel like i haven't achieved very much today, i don't know how much more i'll get done either as OH has got an exciting evening planned for me..... he's taking me radiator shopping.

Ds2 has fallen asleep so i've put him to bed early. He's had 2 late nights in a row so i think he needs it. We were at emergency drs with him Saturday night as he had an allergic reaction to something but by the time we got there it had almost gone:o . I felt terrible for wasting their time. On the way home from Drs i asked OH to drive my car as i was shattered, he only went through a red light:eek: then a camera flashed:mad:   he's paying the fine. he feels terrible for it, it was go through it or emergency stop. that'll teach him to not slow down as he approaches traffic lights.

    evening all

I came home from work a bit early as feeling rough (not helped by being outside all day at an event, and eating a pile of junk) Think i might take tomorrow off sick as nothing much in the diary and I think I've got some viral thing, not had a sick day since i started the job in Jan so not gonna feel bad about that!

DH has been off sick today with nasty cold, though he did manage to hoover the bedroomand do the bins :) Don't think I'll attempt much flying tonight, just very glad I made the lasagne last night as it only needs sticking in the oven now.

You are not sad or alone. I print my list off and cross it all off with a highlighter pen.:D I use the orange one or the green one most. Don't like the blue one much cos it's too dark.

There you go yet another of my little quirks to keep Valli amused no end I expect;)

Quite... I thought it best to burden you all with tomorrows list a bit early rather than at 10pm whern I get in from college!!

Ah I didn't realise that you had started at college. I missed nearly all of last weeks thread. Long day for you though. Are you enjoying it?
