  • Evening Guys!

Ive had a lovely afternoon. Got a bouquet of flowers from my friends and they bought a nice bottle of plonk too:D ....pity I couldnt have any:rolleyes: It was great to catch up with them and we were able to sit in garden:j :j :j

DD has gone round her friends and OH picking her up at 9pm, then she's round our other friends tomorrow afternoon as they have a heated pool in the back garden and the weather is supposed to be nice again......how the other half live:D...then been invited for afternoon tea when we collect her.

I will probably forget, so can someone remind me to call the hairdresser on Monday as it really needs a cut:o

My sister called last night to tell me that she has just had new hair extensions costing...wait for it....£400:eek:      ....apparently her new BF has paid for them but he has had to borrow the money off her, then he is paying her back at £40 pw for 10 weeks...sounds about right! This guy is such a LOOSER!! I dont really care anymore, she is old enough to make her own choices, whether they are good or not...I have my own problems to worry about.

Anyway, I am very tired but feel like Ive actually done something today.

    Take care everyone.

    Evening all
I didn't manage to post earlier as I was at DD2's by 6.30a.m. and finished the makeover by 4.20pm:T :T :T :T :T :T I'm so relived that it's finally finished. What was a mouldy tip of a building has now been transformed into a utility/work room, complete with new ceiling, plaster, shelving, units, and racks. OS wise, a lot of the stuff was from freecycle, even some of the paint.

DD2 and SiL 2b are back tomorrow eve about 9.30pm. They always phone to say they are back home safe'n'sound. Can't wait for the OMG's Mum.

Went to Morries when I finished and got 2 whole legs of lamb for £10.20p, they were marked up at £14 each. Would never pay that. Got a tonne of fruit for £6 and loads more YS veg.

Just had a long soak in the bath, not very OS as showers are more ecconomical but felt I needed to Radox myself followed by a Very Large G&T on the patio.

DH and I have deceided to have an Indian takeaway for dinner, think we deserve it. DH is on the mend, however I brought some more of DD2's washing home and found DH loading it into the TD  He is still a little confused. Proberbly because he is still walking aroud wearing the tonne of cotten wool I wrapped around him.

    Just caught up

CANDY, Don't know what !!!!! stands for but am guessing, take care hun.

PENPIN, You are right to appreciate the things you can do and not dwell on the things you can't. Give your self a break woman, your strength is used on other things. x

HiRED PUDDING, nice to meet you.

SQUIGGLY, Told yah you would do it, DiY is not imposible, well done.

Huge Hugs SMOKY, PINK, HARIBO JACKI O, PENPIN. and all.

SYBIL, Give yourself a pat on the back, one step at a time makes quite a journey.

Awhh thanks PIPPA, I do plan to rest on Monday, tomorrow I will iron rest of DD's stuff that I rescued out of the TD, DH got confused and put it in there instead of WM, will cook the legs of lamb I got today and take full roast dinners to DD2 and SiL 2b so they don't have to cook when they get home at 9.30pm.
I will collect their 2 Labs from the kennels and get them settled at DD's just because it saves them doing it.

Monday I plan do s*d all, but then again I feel I have to be doing something all of the time. Thanks again.

Well it was a productive day. Made: key lime pie (DH request), chocolate fudge (had to use the leftover condensed milk up somehow :D), coconut and cherry cookies, and a first attempt at Malt loaf. Did not do much in the way of housework, other than general housekeeping in the kitchen after making a mess baking. Seem unsettled at the moment- think there are a few things going round in my head  but never mind, there is always something to smile about even when it does not seem like it!
Has a lazy tea (spicy chicken, chips and sweetcorn with dips), then me and DH got DS ready for bed, and sat down and had a laugh at X-Factor!
Hope you all had nice afternoons, did read all your posts but memory like a colander right now , so cannot recall what you all did exactly :o.
Ok, hope to pop on the daily more often :D. Have a lovely night ladies (and gents if there are any around!).

  • PippaS, probably not much more is the answer to that!!!! I am back to Uni in 2 weeks' time & will barely have time to breathe until the end of the academic year (and my course!) next summer. So I've been on a mission to get things done & decluttered as much as possible before early October...

OrkneyStar, like the colours to match the cooking!
PenPin sounds like you had a lovely time with your friends. Best thing to do, leaving your sister to it....

I'm so pleased STrictly is back too - was trying to watch Merlin in between playing taxi to oldest DD again.

Anyway, time to sleep for me - have a good night all.

Not read posts, hugs to all in need or want and congratulations to all who are celebrating.

OH had some kind of stroke this morning and is in hospital, confused and mainly speaking nonsense...they reckon it is probably a stroke affecting his speech as while there seems to be a slight weakness on right side there is no obvious paralysis...cat scan to-morrow when they will know more...needless to say holiday is off as things stand, will have to see how things go on for a later departure, but I have crossed it off mentally...DS and family will still go even if their Italian is not wonderful...they will get by I am sure.

Back when I can with updates
