Congrats to Jess on little Leon.
Hubby's working today, so I dropped him at the mainline station, I had to pay his fare as BIL (not the one that stayed with us) can't pay his wages from 2 weeks ago as he has no money, I do feel sorry for him, he has 2 4x4 BMW's to fill with fuel & obviously that is more important than paying the staff wages.
Todays plans include, peeling apples, getting hubby some new work trousers, peeling apples, getting the wasing dry, peeling apples, anyone see a theme developing here?
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning :hello:

I saw BIL yesterday, he works for a trust that helps people with housing, benefits and budgets. My eyes lit up when he said there might be a couple of jobs going :j He'll find out for definite next week and let me know. I hate having a boss and like to work for myself but this sort of thing is right up my alley (ooooh that sounds rude) and it'll be like working for myself cos you visit people in their homes. You get a mobile and maybe a laptop, you can work from home on remote access and hardly ever have to go to the office. And it's [strike]flexible[/strike] [strike]flexable[/strike] how do you spell that?lol.
I'm getting carried away here, there might not even be any jobs. But it's given me another type of job to think about, maybe I can find something similar in Glos (BIL works in Cheltenham).

Mr troo is stewarding at Kingsholm today, leaving me to clean out the animals

I've got 3 loads of washing to do, some ironing and hoovering and if I can be bothered, I might clean the bathroom :D

Congratulations Jess, I bet little Leon is gorgeous :A

Looks like another lovely day here today, but I have already washed everything I can find, so might be mowing the lawns day :D

Going over to take our new DILs birthday presents, and then want to call into Home Bargains. We got back from the auction last night, and we had had a power cut. Had lots of tea lights and candles, but HB had some torches on headbands so that you would be able to read. If all the gloomy predictions about a Winter full of power cuts, they might come in useful :o

Just had some bacon and cheese sandwiches for breakfast, and it will be an Indian takeaway for dinner, so not a very Slimming World day.

Have a great day everyone x

The usual Saturday for us today, visit both mums do housework and stuff for them, then this afternoon we are off to see Jo my friend (the one whos husband died 3 mths ago) something is wrong with her front door, so OH is sorting it out for her.

Kathy I havent been in to Wooligans yet so I'll give it a try later x

Essex I take Echinacea too, its really good at warding off all sorts of bugs, they call it natures anti-biotic. I read about it in a book I bought a few years ago from Amazon, called The Green Witch, its very interesting and full of useful info on herbs and things.

    Good morning everyone,

:hello: Taplady, mrs mix, Shez and twink (and all the other husseys!!)

Another busy week for me, so i still havnt had chance to read the daily, so ((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one xx

Well, today its my wonderful sons 12th birthday - i cant believe how fast it has gone and that he is now 12 and at 'Big School'!!! Hes had his pressies (main one a PSP that i won!!!) and we are now watching his Arsenal dvd i bought him! Later, he has a football match to play in, and then we are going to his choice for a late lunch - looks like it will be a Weatherspoons in Plymouth which is fine by me.
Will then be coming home, im sure DS will want to see the Arsenal match as they are the late kick off, whilst DD and i are looking forward to Strictly come dancing, followed by X Factor - i hope they are starting as they mean to carry on, and have them both at different times, it was so annoying last year when they had them on at the same time! I think HM popcorn and sweets will be in order tonight, seeing as its a special day!

Nothing , much been happening here - the new baby has settled in wonderfully, its a joy to have a baby here again, although as you can tell, it does take all my time, so no chance to get on here as often, but i dont mind, as long as i have some time in the evenings to enter my comps, im happy. Havnt won anything much recently, but i still have faith that a big one is around the corner!

Well, i really should get going ((HUGS)) and :hello: to everyone.
Special :hello: to Churchmouse, she kindly sent DS some Arsenal books that her OH offered to him - she really is a star!!!

    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Good morning everyone.

I am back from holiday. In many ways I had a splendid time... but there is always a but with me. I should aim to be more like Sybil Ramkin who would just buck herself up!

Darling father came with us, and announced, just as we were setting off, that he had flu and had been bad all last week. So we all ended up with really rotten colds. Dear heart who really needed a break is still exhausted and little bear has developed a nasty cough, which if it is still evident on Monday will mean a trip to the doctors. He also has a very productive nose and expresses outrage and indignation at any attempt to stem the flow!

We had a lovely cottage only a few yards from Pickering Castle and I would like to heartily recommend Castlegate Cottages because it was absolutely lovely and a really friendly service. We did have a marvellous time, but spent a lot of it hunched over tissues and lemsips instead of going out and about.

Little bear kept us on our toes, because every time we turned our back he started to do what I believe is known as 'The Full Monty'. As this included his nappy being flung off I had some anxious moments as we were using the travel cot belonging to the cottage, but I didn't need to mop up anything drastic as I always managed to catch little bear in time.

I have not managed to catch up with all the news and I will probably not have much of a chance for the next few days as darling father is still staying with us. But I hope everyone is well and I will post as and when I am able.

Today I have a small mountain of washing, which means a small mountain of ironing, and I need to go to Makro to get various bits and bobs. Between the washing, ironing and Makro I will be running after dear heart (full of cold), darling father (completely full of cold but fortunately likely to be transfixed by the golf) and little bear (full of cold, very snotty and absolutely shattered). I think my day will be quite full. Tonight, if they have some nice chops in Makro, I will be cooking chops in the Remoska and doing homemade sweet potato and parsnip wedges to go with them.

Also, I just have to share. You know how I am a silly billy about going out by myself with little bear? Well I took him out all by myself in Pickering and we went and watched a steam train and then did a little bit of shopping together! I am so proud of myself! I am now on a stronger dose of happy pills which helps, but I did it!

    Hugs to everyone!
