  • I'm doing the same Jen.

So far I've only written three descriptions though. I'm waiting for my camera batteries to charge so I can take some pics! Argh, why am I never organised...

Managed to withdraw £20 from CBR today and £2.00 from rpoints. Will update my total in a sec.

i've only listed 3 things on ebay so far and i need a break lol! but whilst searching for ebay items in the cupboard i found an unopened letter from pigsback from 4 months ago which has a £10 boots voucher in it! I sold it to my mum so will add £10 to total yay!
  • ^Wish I had that luck. I tend to spend vouchers as soon as I get them :P

Now I've written all the titles out ready to copy and paste tonight. I've got 18 items so far... still on the hunt for more though. Hopefully it will be worth it, and nothing's lost if they don't sell.

ETA - just realised it's free tomorrow too, yay! I think I'll jut get everything written out then upload them tomorrow instead.

Well, I have listed ONE item so far, amidst great whining and grumbling as I simply hate it! And I only listed it because the photo & description were already done for an ad elsewhere. Eb*y refused to accept the wording first time round because I had included the words 'Google checkout' in the description! Hopefully my item won't sell for only 99p, otherwise PayP*l fees will wipe out the few pennies it'll make.
If only there was a free prescription for 'motivation to list'... groooooan!
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

    This thread is amazing!!

I have been reading through it today and there are some excellent suggestions. I am currently on a money making mission, trying to make over £1000 before next June and this thread has inspired me.

  • Well today I've been on a mission to find things to list on ebay -mlisted one thing I already had a photo of, am now going to take photos of all the rest and probably list tomorrow. Also went through all my old cds and sold 10 on cdmagpie for £10.67 [won't add amount to signature til the check arrives though]. They are fussy aren't they so many classics like the Buffy and Dawson's Creek soundtrack ;) that they didn't want. Still I've sorted all the unwanted items to sell at a bootsale in the near future - prob only end up selling them for 20p each but still every little helps and I love de-cluttering.
Had an email from a student hoping to send some more proofreading thsi week so fingers crossed - I'm really trying hard to join Bails in making £1000 in a month :D

I've finally sold something on ebay:j
Only £5 but it feels good:D

    Wish listing wasn't so boring!

    Off to list more now......
  • I don't seem to find listing things for sale online boring lol :o

Just checked my sales figures and I get to list 10 more items for free now, which is awesome, have almost 50 listings already, but can now get up to 65 items. And if I reach 60 items over 6 weeks in sales, which I am on track to do, then I save on the sale fees too, which would be great. :j

Just wrapped up another 6 things to post tomorrow if money comes through. The post office lady is getting to know my system lol...

Just checked my week off anyway, and yet again I have managed to be ahead at the end of the week of the $10 a day minimum. Pretty much all profits are coming from online sales...

Am making a list of hot items to think about sourcing them myself after I have got rid of all my junk. A book on cake decorating was a very hot auction, strange huh.

  • Right, after a very long and painful process I have listed 23 very random things on ebay - lets see if this will make me any money by the end of the week!!
Also have done a market research trip to tesco today and have had an offer for our car from the local garage - so will probably take them up on this this week which will be a great weight off my mind and a decent amount for our savings.
Hope everyone else is not too suicidal after a free ebay weekend - you know you think it is good but I really do think it is another form of torture!!
    Sweet Dreams xx
