Jenjade, you're doing brilliantly so don't worry! I'm not doing half as well as you but figure that every little bit is more than I would've had :D
Well done JB, brilliant amount, what did you pay for them originallly?
Trex, another thing I'm interested in is the proof reading but am I right in thinking I'd have to have a qualification first? I can't help spotting mistakes in anything I read which is really annoying, but if I was getting paid for it...;)
My attempt to earn some extra money for today is my job interview. Fingers crossed they can give me something as that'll be £20 a week (not to mention a whole lot of this :j).

    Hiya Bails
There are a number of proofreading qualifications you can get and I do have a home study course I keep meaning to do but to behonest my other qualifications are far more useful. I don't know what you have done [work-wise] in the past but I have my BA, MA and PGCE, and am VERY SLOWLY writing my PhD [slower now the little man takes up all of my time]. I lectured in a number of universities in cardiff before finishing work after having Finn, and this is when I set up my business T Rex English - I have a website but I don't know if you're allowed to list them on here. Basically as long as you feel confident that you can improve the work of others I think you'll be fine. I charge £20 per 2000 words but all depending on where you are based this could be much more. It is a lovely job as you can do the work anywhere and at anytime which at the moment suits me down to the ground. Let me know how you get on and don't hesitate to ask me any more questions

  • Blimey, I have missed quite a few posts on this challenge!

Figured since I am at home today ill, it would be a good day to make a start on matched betting. So having spent this morning getting my teeth into that, I have £10 now tracking in Quidco.

Also managed to trade in a mobile the other day, which should get me £4.50 from Quidco, plus whatever the trade-in site value it at.

Just reading TREX's post above. Did you make your £220 so far through proof-reading? You are doing really well already!

Will update on my first foray into MBing tonight!

    Hiya Mills
No not £220 for just proofreading in the last week - only £30, but I own a proofreading business and it is very easy to get work - a 10,000 word dissertation costs £200, you just have to have the time to do it, so at the moment I'm not taking on to much as I have an 11 month little boy who is very very busy haha!!
Good luck with your money making!

Sorry, JB, I'm no help - I can declutter no problem when it's giveaway items but I am hopeless at selling and hopeless at photography, blurb, listing ... you see a pattern here? I have another computer to Gumtree, I have updated an eBid listing and I STILL have the huge box filled with saleabl;e goodies sitting looking at me. :o

I wonder if I could ask one of the local shops to have a rummage sale on my behalf? Hmm... :rotfl:

pech pech, pant pant, my under bed storage boxes don't exactly 'glide' once they are stuiffed full of my goodies....i think i have broken my back...

i WILL sell my way through them systematically i WILL i WILL!

i don't think i can face starting car boot sales anymore :( i have started separating out complete guff that i think definately won't sell on ebay, but im not sure what to do with it now, might look into selling it as a car boot job lot or i may just send it off to a charity shop.

Hi JB, I've been doing the charity shop hop rather than listing but I'm also doing fairly well at decluttering via Freecycle as there's always someone looking for something. Pity I hardly ever see anything I'm needing!
For the purposes of points exchange, did we decide how to do these? Are we adding the equivalent amounts to our savings pots?

I'm so far only counting vouchers I have in my hand (or inbox)... I've so far only got one voucher £12 for HMV so I've transferred £12 from my Birthday/Xmas fund into my challenge savings account. I should have another £10 arcadia voucher on the way (if it ever arrives) which will be swapped for cash out of my clothes/shoes fund (I need some winter clothes). I'm collecting nectar points from one of my survey sites too so I'll swap those for cash from my grocery budget when they arrive in my account.

PS Just reread this... yep I have 1001 sub budgets lol... no wonder I get confused!!
