PSone retro games system bargains (merged)

Has anyone managed to find one in store in East London/Essex area - as I am begrudged to pay £6.99 for delivery and tried phoning a couple of stores who would not look at stock in other stores for me?

Apparantly the closest to the Staples Corner branch that had stock was High Wycombe.

Got mine from Curry's in Chadwell Heath.
Other stores say they have them when I spoke with the telephone sales team, but these all ended up to be the game only!

Beckton=2 in stock ... Oh no they don't (game only)
Romford=2 in stock ... these are the games only too!!


When I spoke with a bloke on the 0870 number for my local store, he offered to get one delivered and would knock off the P&P charges - but I said I preferred to go and get one from in store.

Hope this helps further... I got all of the below today, HOWEVER!! 1 store was really snotty and refused to sell me the Gamecube games. I hit 3 stores and struck lucky with the games in 1, none in the other and Mr Snotty re above in third.

I got one in Dixons, York. I asked if they has a PS1 and first he said no but then said he'll check the back and came out with the Spyro package for £14.99, I asked if there were anything else in the back and he said the staff have got to everything first. Still happy I got one.

Sorry for sounding daft.. but where are the gamecube bargains as posted above? I have copied and pasted the code numbers into the Dixons site, and Currys, and both don't recognise the code.

Currys in Hemel/Apsley have 6 in the locker in the back. The staff had trouble locating them till they were told by the till manager they were in a box marked Spiro / Playstation

I just called to check availability of the PSOne in Lowestoft - apparently they have three left in stock.

Thought about getting one for my daughter - but can't bring myself to let her get into gaming just yet, I'm sure I can drag it out for another year or two!
