Bulldog? I’m also victim of this urban stray dog .Well still I’m lucky as I got vaccinated on time by my friend.Lured by the sales team in city centre.Ordered it and then waiting waiting…. After 2 weeks I tried to contact them but put on hold for more than 20 minutes. Some insider told me that it might take about 3-4 months to get the bb in my area. It was just like a big shock .finally I was prepared for the whole day but thanks to almighty that I got connected to bulldog customer services after 1 hour. He told me that have I sent them the email regarding the cancellation query and cancellation is only possible by the email. Then I told him look mate I sent about 4 emails but you guys didn’t replied. So finally the bulldog cs typed all the story like a police report and transferred it to the cancellation department. Later on my connection cancellation request was accepted but these people never returned my 1 pound which they charged me for ordering the broadband. They are even much more worse than the Onestopphoneshop in my view in terms of false claims.NEVER NEVER …

Just wanted to add my experience with Bulldog. I have now been with them over a year and have had no problems. I always get a connection (one day for about 3 hours it played up though) always good speed (have 1mb peak times and 2mb off peak and usually get around 235kb/s download speed depending where i download from) and i have no intentions of moving to anyone else.

I am switching from a BTW line and Tiscali over to Bulldog. The quickest way for me to do this was to cancel my current phone line and get Bulldog to install new line for £1. They are also able to provide joint delivery so line will be installed and BB will be activated within 4 hours.

However, I was aware of the risks with the customer services. I have spoken to them a few times and even though the call centres are abroad, it hasn't been too bad.

The reason for changing was that my line was too contended, so hopefully with the LLU enabled exchange, the connection should be better.

  • I've been with bulldog since the end of September and I'm still waiting for a bill. Every time I call them they tell me, "oh yes you'll get a bill on the 15th of November" then after that "oh yes you'll get a bill on the 15th of december" and now "oh yes you'll get a bill on the 15th of January" A little frustrating to say the least as I'm trying to guess how much I'll be billed for. Can't get any update of how much my account is currently either. If you're signing up to an offer, take a screen grab of what you're signing up to - I didn't and am regretting it as apparently quite a few people didn't get the deal they signed up to so we'll wait and see.

The reason I pulled out of Bulldog, was that they will stop you using OneTel, TalkTalk <or whoever> whenever they feel like it. I asked them, and they confirmed that this is the case. So whatever I may gain from them broadband wise, I was going to lose phone wise. Wasn't worth it.
  • I was with Bulldog and they were terrible.

As other posters mention the customer service wasn't very good, i'd be on hold for ages, sometimes up to an hour at a time.

My internet would go down and also my phone line. I had no phone for 3 days once. I was on 8mb but never actually got more than 2mb.

Billign never made sense either, the bills seemed to arrive as and when they wanted to, no proper break-down of all the costs and they took the money whenever they felt like it.

I couldn't wait to leave, but even that was hard work.

  • I'm signing up to broadband soon and am interested in bulldog at £9.75 it seems really cheap? They are saying on the phone that it is only a monthly contract and that thry will connect me for £1 and throw in a modem and i could cancel after a month and keep the modem! One thing they did say was if i sign up today the price will stay at £9.75 and when 8mb is available they will upgarde me to that.

Seems to good to be true is it???

    Thanks Neil

  • Personally, from my experience with them, i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!

Customer Service was useless. My internet would go down unexpectedly, for hours on end. My phone line wouldn't work for days ata a time and this happened monthly. Billing was sent out as and when they felt like it and they seemed to make the price up as they went along.

Took forever to leave them as well as once they had disconnected me i had to get BT round and sort my line out and then reconnect with someone else. I was without internet for weeks.
