Very true mrJ,the speeds i post are the best you can get from a well seeded torrent.
  • A rough guide to speeds you can get on bittorrent with a 512 connection anything around 50 Kbps is good
    DANG

the peer2peer site i use for some of the download (goes by the name of a tangy citrus fruit and fine cable) is reasonably quick.
i used it the other day to download an album and as it was sourcing content from 7 users, without any other downloads running i was seeing 50-60kbps.

fantastic...do you work for tesco by anychance????
any idea of the expected price for 1g uncapped?

Just had the email in, £19.97 for the uncapped version BUT each time you change you restart your 12 months.

Any idea what 3gb download means in real terms to someone like me who basically just surfs?

edited to add, would I notice much difference in speed by upgrading from 512?

tbh - you wont notice the speed difference at all, for just general web surfing - pages wont really load up any quicker (maybe a few mili seconds - nothing at all significant)
  • Thanks mrJ, thats what I needed to hear icon7.gif
  • I still have not been contacted by Tesco about Broadband either 512 or 1mg.

I am currently on dial up and would like to get broadband at £17.99 per month.

    Any ideas.
