  • many thanks lbt, will try out the marmite loaf when i have the cooker on tomorrow

I too have ordered it from my library, along with the other book suggested.

    Happy baking!

Sorry - should have said, i don't have a bread machine, assume it can work just as well by hand?

Hi Helen, good to know the apple and cinnamon loaf is popular in your house - I haven't tried that one yet, but will do this week.

Pretani, I'll post the pizza dough recipe later - we are clearing out our garage and I am taking a sneaky five minutes out :D

Has anyone tried the marmite one yet? I am going to do it this week.

Princess Loki, we are waiting for a full report on the Naan!!!! I would be happy to use yoghurt that is two days out of date as well.

Hope you are all having a good day - the weather is beautiful here :)

    Hi touch my fork

Sorry I missed your message. Yes I would assume the recipe would work just as well by hand. I think it is more of a problem converting recipes from by hand to machine because the recipe doesn't tell what programme to use.

Let me know how you get on :)

Would it be possible to post these recipes into a sticky thread that collates all the bread making recipes?

They seem to be very popular!
  • I find any pizza dough recipes work,I do dough by hand and we would never buy pizza again.

My top tip is always have HM passatta in the freezer
    (tin toms,pepper,onion,dash garlic,dash sugar,dash ketchup,herbs,s & p)

I also freezer dough, leave in fridge to defrost and can have pizza on table in less than 25mins.

For your passatta, how long do you cook it for? Do you blend it afterwards?

Also, do you freeze your dough all rolled out?

    Thanks

    Hi Everyone

Just to let you know that I have found the book that I have been hunting for - it is The Complete Bread Machine CookBook by Sonia Allison. I have a copy from the library but have a feeling that I might be buying it as my bread bible.

I am going to make the Marmite Loaf today to go with our dinner tonight :)

    Thanks for everyone's help :)
  • Thanks for the reply lbt, i have the book on order from the library, but have not made the marmite loaf yet as need to get some flour, hopefully tomorrow.

Yes the marmite one works by hand. I made it as I would normally by hand and just used the marmite/hotwater mix with the cold liquids once all the dried where in the bowl. I made mine into rolls and OMG were they scrummy. Cheese and tomato in mine nomnomnom

Ethansmum - recipe is on the first page of this thread.
