Favourite bread recipes - what are yours?

Options
Hi All

I hope someone can help. I have just made the BEST pizza's ever with my two girls. I got the recipe for the pizza dough from a breadmaking book I borrowed months ago from the library - I just photocopied a few of the pages.

I really want to know which book it came from because the recipes are so nice, so I wonder if someone has the same book. To help jog someone's memory, it also has recipes for Marmite loaf (P116), garlic butter bread (P54), naan bread (P158), apple and cinnamon loaf (P130).

If anyone knows which book this is, I would love to know.

Sorry to post such a bizzare request :o

Thanks :)

  • I don't know if libraries keep lists of what has been loaned to an individual, you could maybe ask as everything is computerised. fingers crossed they could tell you.

Thanks Penny Less, that's great. I will pop in today and post later. :)

Also, another Old Styler has recommended The Complete Bread Machine Book, by Marjie Lambert. I have ordered this and it should come in on Monday.
  • Hi

Would love to know the name of this book too, would you post it on here when you know it please?

    Thanks

Oh no!! My library doesn't keep lists of past books, just the ones you have out currently.

Hopefully someone has this book and can let me know what it is called :)

Julia, I have the full recipes for the ones I listed on my first post - these were the ones I photocopied - and I am happy to share the recipes if there is a particular one you like the sound of?

Right now this a longshot, so pleeeeeeeeeeease do not shell out money before actually seeing the book in person.

    I think it might be

'The Complete Bread Machine CookBook' by Sonia Allison (spelling is as it is written on the book cover not a mistake by me)

It definitely had a recipe for Marmite Bread/Loaf in it.

I do not have the book so I can't tell you any more but if you ring a bookshop that has it in stock you can ask them to verify the presence of the other recipes you mentioned and page numbers.

    Hiya

I have just had a look on amazon and I recognise the cover!!! Yaaaaaay!!! I am pretty sure it is that book, but my library don't have it so I have asked for it to be sent over. Will let you know as soon as it comes in.

Will post recipes for Marmite loaf and apple and cinnamon loaf once I have got the girls their tea :)

    Thanks everyone :)
