Haven't had time to read the posts in any depth Sally, but fwiw I think it's absolute madness that parents can't both be registered for the same child.
What do parents who have joint custody do for instance?I know that the PC has it's own sort of T&C's, but surely the onus is also on Boots to make sure they don't send offers and vouchers to the same address? (But then it throws up the problem where young parents can be living with their parents, I suppose.) It all seems such a grey area, that a warning would be better than a total confiscation of points and cards imo, and seems like madness to me when genuine couples can fall in between two stools, iyswim?
Hope for whoever's involved that it's all sorted and that points are reinstated - and soon! x
I couldn't agree more passion:) I'm wondering if there is more to it though. They seem to cancel cards that mainly have a lot of points on. Perhaps they think something dodgy is going on if both parents are PC members and have a large amount of points on one or both AD cards0 -
I know this is not a glitch, but I do surveys for IPSOS and VALUED OPINIONS. Just got £40 worth of Boots vouchers through the post this morning from IPSOS for all the surveys I have done for them over the last few months. If any of you ladies/gents are short of cash, you should give surveys a go. I think they have a section on MSE to do with surveys. You don't make shed loads of money and it does take a while for it to build up, but then you get vouchers at the end of the day. www.valuedopininons.co.uk and for IPSOS I think you will have to google it. Cheers.
Don't forget Lightspeed do Boots vouchers for surveys tooTakes a while to build up the points sometimes, but then - like buses

Some good stuff on clearance in my local today.
Passion8, I too got the High Maintenance mints, I think these ARE the elusive mirror mints, the mirror is insidePaid 38p per tin, DD tells me these are £2.50 in Claire's Accessories
Bonjela cool 32p, Nurofen Express 50p, Compeed patches 15's 90p and the bargain of the day OralB Pulsar toothbrushes at £1 each with free toothbrush holder thingy.
These are currently £5.99 each just for the brush so worth looking out for, the ones with the toothbrush holder may be old stock and coming to a clearance stand near you soon. They are battery operated vibrating brushes with battery already inside. They were for my hampers but I was accosted by the "what did you get me?" squad as soon as I got home, no time to stash my loot :rotfl:0 -

Seems like most of those affected have 'gone underground' Sally, and I don't blame them seeing as we know that Boots honchos read these threads. (As proved by another poster after their complaint was posted on here - a different complaint I should add - and it worked against her despite having a valid complaint!) I'm sure, like everything else, there might have been some that abused the system, and it does seem to have affected users with a large amount of points, but it still makes me think that Boots should share some of the blame. They offer all sorts of promotions to get people to sign up for whatever it is they think will get people into their stores (thus making even more profits) and I can see the temptation. Boots should realise, imo, that there's a lot of naive people about, and shoulder some of the blame by removing only the points that people aren't entitled to.
Sorry - forgot this wasn't a chat threadbut if anyone else is in the same situation as the op, I wouldn't post about where you shop or what you buy. These threads have eyes and ears at times - unfortunately. But good luck to whoever's involved. x

Thanks geordie_lass - my bargains have just diminished into 'not so good bargains' :rotfl: and you've saved me opening the mints (not that I needed a mirror(thanks to the op for that one too
) I think we're using those toothbrushes now btw and even at the normal price, are decent brushes - although I'm sure they'll work better at the cheaper price
Popped into an Alliance shop (so Boots related) a couple of weeks ago, and bought some sunglasses that were down from £14.99 to 50p ..!
Went back today and they had fake leather-type sunglasses holders that clipped onto waistbands for the grand sum of 10p LOL.
So it pays to shop aroundbut well done you - great shop! :T

She said really rudely that she wouldn't do it as on offer ok fair enough but there is no need to be mean saying Do you realize how much it is ment to be your not having it for that. She didn't even read the voucher or try it. Why do some SA's take it upon themselves to be the boots police. I left it and she made a point of telling the sa next to her about me before i had even got out of the store.
You should make a formal complaint about her in my opinion. Not only is it rude and uneccesary but most retail companies have specific customer service guidelines stating not to do this kind of thing so I wouldn't imagine that boots are any different. Being anything less than pleasant is bad enough but I would expect that talking about you to another sa will get her a warning or something - it certainly would in all the places I have worked.
Phone them or even better - send a letter.A silent (but still proud
