Glasgow Sauchiehall Street had put signs up today saying electrical was excluded from the 3 for 2 No.7 offer. I'm glad I got the manicure and pedicure sets yesterday.

On the plus side they had a full shelf of the Johnstons top to toe wash with no price tag so I took three for my friend who is about to become a gran but left plenty for anyone else who wants them.

I then went to S#######g across the road to try the Palmolive cashmere deal mentioned by someone else on here. I couldn't remember the price and as it said £2.19 on the shelf I only took a couple. The assistant didn't bat an eyelid when she said 20p please. 20p for two shower creams, needless to say I went back and got a few more - again left some for others too.

    Hi moneysaver12
don't know anything about the babyliss ones but i've got really good remmington wet to dry straightners which my DD has decided she's keeping, so yesterday i bought another pair instore and they went through the till at £20.04 bargain. They are fantastic and really quick to heat up. Online they are showing as £29.99 half price

Thats such a bargain, I paid £90 for mine when they first came out (3 years I think?) they are the best straightners I've had and they're still going strong !

Gutted I missed the mirror glitch, would've been happy with just 3 for 2 at £19.99, I would've liked one and they would make fab pressies for DD and nieces - hey ho, hopefully another glitch will come along soon!
  • I tried the mirror glitch yesterday, but I messed my first attempt up, I got two mirrors and the pedicure set(£33), minus my £5 voucher. I them found 3 mirrors at braehead, the SA couldn't believe the price and I didn't think she would give me them, but she did. Now I need to take the first lot back!
  • Just a heads up to anyone taking advantage of the 342 on all makeup: I went to Boots this morning and chose three porducts (1x Revlon, 2x Max Factor) and got to the till. The cashier scanned them and began putting my card through, before I realised they had all gone through at full price, which I queried. Still putting my card through, she goes "Oh yes, it's a wonderful offer because you can mix all the brands up." At which point, I pointed out my hefty bill  -she got in a fluster and ended up voiding the transaction and starting again-the moral of the story being, watch they don't charge you full price, as obviously not all the discounts go through automatically!

I was tempted to give CS a call when I got back on here to see that everyone had got theirs yesterday and the 3 Pb stores had obviously just done it between them (removed them from sale). I asked the lady 'if I was to ring head office they'd confirm you've been instructed to remove them from sale?' and she looked me straight in the eye and said 'yes'.

But then she also said that it would be fixed by today so maybe she was telling the truth.......
i would NOT call CS unless it was absoloutly necescesary ...i phoned a few weeks ago as the store had overcharged me on a camera ..and yesterday i went into a store and my adv card came up as invalid ...i phoned cs and they said my card had been cancelled ...not by me ... TODAY i got a letter from head office saying the card at my address had been cancelled

only had mines , 1 for my dad 1 for my partner ....but only used the one ...as my partner always forgets to use his and my dad is housebound and anything i get for him is put on my card ...unless the rare occasions hes out and wants toiletrires

...they said boots routinely moniter the adventage card and parenting club membership t check it complies with t&C's we have noted that multiple applications for the boots pc had been made from the above address ..i for me and i for my partner ..

.i had 3 kids in over 7yrs i been with boots the letter then goes onto say that you are only allowed 1 application per child and because there were more than this partner and me had booth registered teh two youngest ...the scheme is not being used as it was intended ..and cancelled all advantage cards at theis address and not allowed to make anymore applications to the Advantage card scheme .... will be phoning them on monday to find out why as i anyting i have bought in the store was paid for in cash and bought legitatmetly apart from the 1500 points on the two oral b toothbrushes....

just a warning to anyone else with higher points and multiple accounts they must be checking up since they changed the site over ...i had saved m points to use towards christmas gifts and now have a card with 27+ pounds which i cant use .... and very rarely called cs

Not sure what original question was but if anyone is looking for straighteners: I swapped some broken straighteners at Boots for the wide Remington ones and they are absolutely amazing for long hair ! So much quicker than the normal width straighteners. The thing is I'm using them so much I'm getting frazzled ends lol.
