help son wants to moved out of home

:eek: our son is 19 yrs old and works full time and he wants to move in with a mate
his mates mum is movin in with her boyfriend [the house is rented to her by housing assocation] the mum is having the house put in the son name its a 3 bed house
the lad my son is moving with dosent work ? where would my son stand ? council tax ect
if this goes wrong my son will not be able to move back in with us due t0 the homeless rules we have to live under ? any ideas anyone

I agree to let him go, after you've nicely pointed out some pitfalls, and talked thro how to deal with any consequences.
Better for him to learn tough lessons now than to have to learn when he is in a relationship with a family of his own.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Let him go, let him learn, let him make mistakes.
Cruel to be kind, but he needs to be hurt and disappointed to be more sceptical in future

He should get put on the tenancy too. But whether the HA will swap the tenancy like that is very uncertain. I suspect not.0

19 isn't exactly young. It is hard to say, because you get mature 19 year olds and stupid ones, but I moved out of my parents home when I was 18 and it worked out fine for me.
