It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

I am tired now and still have to go back for another 3 hours:( Just come home to make the dinner.

Only working 9am-1pm tomorrow though:j ......and I got a free laptop. So no one can kick me off the comp.

I have noticed DD2 eyeing it up already however:rolleyes:

  • i've made a bit more progress. I've bought some washing up liquid, foil, clingfilm, clothes etc for my cleaning 'pack' for teaching. I've done a couple of quizzes which I'll slot in when needed over the coming weeks if stuff is cooking away and washing up is done etc and I'm sending everything I do to work so I can print off and copy whilst I'm there.

Lesson plan for session 1 next, which shouldn't be too hard as I know what I'll be doing and then I need to do myself a crib sheet for the session outline so I don't suddenly stop and start thinking 'what was I talking about?'

DS2 says he will ring childline:rotfl:

The job is going really well, just settling in period. I have met all of the students now and the kids are OK. I did have a class of 19 teenage boys this morning for 3 hours. set them off researching what type of lifestyle choices they could have on a fantasy salary. One of them wanted to buy a monkey and one was looking into the cost of a helicopter:rolleyes:

Ugh, you're reminding me of when I did my a levels, I was a mature student in classes full of teenagers, history had more boys than girls and boy did they sweat!

Sounds like a good lesson though, wish we'd had more like that when I was at school.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

If someone would like to employ me for 16 hours a week :(

I've deferred from uni for a year with a plan to taking a job I was offered. Long story but now job isn't available, might be later (later being from Nov to early next year). So I'm stuffed with no job, no uni, no money.

Oh my god Gemmz!!!! That's disgusting how they've treated you!!! I'd seriously put a complaint in writing to them as that's just disgraceful.
    Sending massive hugs :grouphug:
