Mine is a V reg (late 1999) 2.0 di 16 valve Astra , there seems to be less deviation in diesel prices between garages than petrol so maybe i will use a `brand ` name anyway ,just to be safe
thanks again:beer:0 -
That's for a Transit mk6, over 160k on the clock and loads of life left
OP: If the fuel prices are similar enough, I too would just stick with the branded fuels. It certainly wont hurt, whereas with the others you cant be sure!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Or as in my case noramlly, the Shell unleaded is normally 1p cheaper than the supermarkets. AT the moment they're the same, but the Shell garage should go down a 1p in the next day or so, because they're rarely the same price.
Leamington Spa 109.9 95 RON
My only gripe is the local Tescos doesn't do the 99 RON stuff only the standard 97 RON.0 -
109.9 for diesel ???
the prices here are 1p difference between ASDA and Shell , so i suppose it`s a no brainer !0 -

Diesels are so passe.
The trouble is you can only get so much diesel from distilling a barrel of oil and as more and more people use diesels, the old supply and demand rule of economics comes in to play, which is why petrol is so much cheaper than diesel and that will only become more exacerbated.
Biodiesels aren't the answer either, that's one of the reasons food is becoming so expensive, as farm land is turned over to rapeseed production.0 -
