Depends whether you value the cost saving over the less additives?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. You don't fill up much do you?
I do it every two weeks!0 -

I filled up on the 30th august £53 and i got 440 miles before light came on , mainly A roads
Is that good ?
As for the diesel is it better to use `better` diesel ? i have always had petrol cars before
Ah, so its your second fill with a diesel (could tell you were new).
My DH is a cab driver & has a diesel (new Ford Galaxy Ghia), he fills at the cheapest (but won't use one, I think its Q8 - but I could be wrong), he's very fussy about his car.0 -
PS I fill every two weeks, cost about the same as you & I don't even get 300 miles, so sounds good!
But I've got petrol
& 4x40 -
I've done around 46k miles in the last 12mths
At a rough guess:
70% morrisons
20% tesco
10% other supermarkets & big oil companies
And my engine hasn't blown up0 -
Basically the supermarkets can charge lower prices because they use a less 'refined' fuel. There are less additives in the fuel that help the engine run better, keep it freer from soot and help emmisions. Shell/BP/Esso etc all have additives in their fuel that, in theory, enhance performance and give you more MPG. If you are very price sensitive then maybe fill up alternately with supermarket and A.N.Other fuel?I dont understand
