i've just been given a brand new fujitsu siemens LIFEBOOK C1110 how do I get word etc

Sorry this is going to sound really dumb.

I have been given a brand new fujitsu siemens lifebook c series c1110. I know nothing about computers. i have turned it on etc and it has just the basic operating systems. how do you get word, excel, etc. what basic package do people buy for computers. and where do you get it etc

i have always just used a computer at work and have never had to think about how all the programmes etc get onto the computer.

Start, All Programs, Microsoft Works, may be there, either that you will have
to buy a legal copy of works or office, try ebay...
  • Also meant to mention that inside the book is the following:

    Nero 6 cd
Managed - Drivers and utilities for lifebooks - cd
    Norton Ghost 2003
    Mobile Manageability cd
    dvd - player software winDVD4
    mICROSOFT Windows Professional

Are these all backup disks or do I need to install them?

I know i used silly but I really dont know much about computers.

Well click on Start all programs and if they are there, well that means they are backup discs if you remove the software, so keep them DO NOT lose them, if you do not see them in All Programs install them......
