    A chocolate shoe! Oooh, I'm sold!:T

How about this DOTD? I've been keeping it too understated and glam, we need a big fluffy dress! You'll have to click the link as I can't post the image for some reason!

Right, I'm off to get ready for big furniture moving, OH can't lift heavy stuff (wimp, it's his knee that's bad, not his arms! LOL!) so I'm the heavy lifter today, not sure how we'll manage that! :rotfl:
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • Morning all! Woo payday!! :j

Yip, I like Amelie too, also Amelia. It's a really popular name in France actually, like Sarah or something would be here. Talking of Irish names I like Seamus for a boy it's so cute. Roisin is so cool it reminds me of Roisin Murphy, and Cillian of the lovely Cillian, er, Murphy as well? Saoirse or however you hell you spell it always just reminds me of the fridge in that book Round Ireland with a Fridge! Amber is lovely too ROTE. All the names I like begin with L or A (Like Lydia or Amelia), and mine and OH's names begin with L and A and I always think of how it would sound on Christmas cards if our names were too similar :o

Ah, glad you're feeling better about the move Birdie! Yep vintage clothes are all smaller than today's - they're all vanity sized now for us modern fatties! Get us a dress of the day, I don't care how busy you are, it's a fixture now!

ETA - just seen DOTD above, I actually really like that apart from possibly the fluffy bit on the hip! Don't strain yourself with the lifting pet!

Speaking of ironing, I always make a point of buying clothes that'll only need a quick shake and to be hung up neatly in order to look ok :D I don't plan on buying an ironing board when I have my own place, but OH might have better ideas! I cleaned up my room in preparation for the girls coming to stay at the weekend and he saw it last night and I think he was a bit put out that I cleaned it for them and I don't bother for him!

Poddle, I never really fancied SA I have to say, but a girl I know went a couple of years ago, hired a car and did LOADS and it looked fantastic. I want to do a safari for honeymoon... OH had been going on about wanting to do one but I've told him he'll have to marry me first... he's never mentioned it since and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing!!

Right off to do my coffee cup exercises :D

Morning all. No voice today, stupid NIM-lurgy.

Hate to break it to you but he's not a Patrick, although I do love that name. But only in the full form, I'm not big on abreviations.

Me, my mum, and my dad all have the same initials - it's quite irritating! My brother escaped as mum thought it would be getting twee, his middle name is the same initial though!

However, two brothers have the same name?! That's a bit lacking in imagination! Thought they only did that in large Victorian families where one might die and they needed one to carry on the name.

I'm liking todays dress, not really for a wedding abroad though, be a bit warm, more the traditional one here.

No money making news really this morning, except NIM worked out how to transfer money onto CC2. Need to work out exactly how much is owed to that, think it is in the £2700 region, he's paid over £2000. It's basically the current balance, minus the ammount on mums spreadsheet, but plus the £120 in rent NIM owes, and the CC3 balance I'm getting the charges back on. I understand what I'm getting at in any rate! Don't actually have a clue how much that'll leave NIM, hopefully enough to at least get £1k into his new ISA.

Can't believe you're complaining TPA, would have thought you'd be happy to get a substantial 'fix'!

  • Sounds like my uncle - he has five sons and they all have the initials DKT, it's ridiculous! I thought that at first, but I think Birdie meant her brother and her OH's brother have the same name?

Your workings out for CC2 give me a headache! I'm feeling all rich at the minute, but only because I'm waining for my money to be transferred towards savings and I haven't paid my rent or for my glasses yet... Oh dear! Will be skint again before I know it!

Todays dress is very nice, but I've liked them all so far to be fair. Make sure your OH makes you lots of cuppas if you're doing all the lifting, Birdie.

Just noticed your savings aswell Dinah, even when debt busting you're catching up with me quickly. Hope you get your voice back soon!

Within a couple of says the savings target will be at a scarifying level. I just need the dust to settle and to work out what has gone where.

It would be cute to have all your kids names starting with the same letter, like on Deperate Housewives - Preston, Porter, Penny and the other one I always forget but we'll call him Paul.

I'm hanging on for tomorrows payday, can move some over to savings after booking the travelodge. Will be surprising OH with it tomorrow after work as I haven't actually told him of my plans yet..

If not I shall take my Ma with me. I'm not passing up on a weekend in Kent for so little. Will be my only chance this year so I'm grabbing it with both hands, by the horns, I've run out of sayings now. I don't even know where this love of Kent has come from!

I think he should be able to get it off though, he's off for 2 weeks atm to get his holidays in, so will be able to sort it when he gets back.

When is it you're going to Egypt Dinah?
