I argue all RiSi is moneysaving, the only books I have bought on amazon since I found it were the specalised craft ones, and I'm clearing out the old books from the shed that I don't want but would only make about 20p on if I sold them on Amazon anyway. And I'm much better to swap a book than buy one on amazon anyway, and the almost daily arrivals through the door are very exciting. Got a new one today, The Yorkshire Pudding Club, think that one might be next as someone at work was on about it months ago and she said it was a really nice read, might be a little chick-litty I fear but even that can be forgiven if the writting style is good enough.

I've managed to stay away from RiSi, but you two make it sound too good! Is it pretty easy to use?
  • It's really easy Cinny, go on and have a little look around. My problem is, I admit, my books for swapping aren't very good ones - I'm such a hoarder (horder?) that all my good books I want to keep, so I don't often get swaps accepted :o

No me either Tete, only about 1 in 6 or so get accepted, but there are many copies of most books so I just work my way down the list of swappers! I've picked up some books I would never have known existed, which is great. Any books I get which I really love I then keep, but if I don't think it was that great back in RiRi it goes!

Finished my first Dooyoo review, phew. Have made 6 suggestions today.

  • That's been my tactic too. I have to say I find if there's a new person they usually swap because they probably feel bad turning you down. Did I just say that out loud? I feel like a bad person now!

I just sat here thinking 'what if I didn't want their book, I couldn't say no!'

rooting around and found 3 books I could maybe put on. I keep them incase I want to read them again (which I wont) just can't bear letting them go! (oh god, i'm so sad)

    • Spend a bit of time with my new Christmas craft books, and decide on a couple of invitation designs to try first. Sort of done this, flicked through but was actually a bit dissapointed by the book, so ended up putting a reccomendation on Dooyoo to review it!

Getting quite into the Dooyoo again, just found your cookies recipie Cinny, going to see if I have the stuff in the house to make some tomorrow.

I think dooyoo is the best 'moneymaker' i've found so far if not annoyingly addictive.

oooh, have fun with the cookie recipe if you do it! Looks like you're getting through your list well too, shame about your book though. Which one was it?

Oh you'll be glad when you swap them for something you really want! I can't stand second rate books cluttering up my bookshelves.

One of a kind wedding: Invitations and Paper Details. It's more a suggestion of sending people candle holders rather than invites, than a book with designs. There are only two or three that strike me as possible, but there are no instructions really, just 'buy pre-made envelope type xyz' etc
