The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

Hi GiSi, RE are best imo, GR are so infrequent. Gap are okay for free food but their fees are really low, GFK have actually been good recently, not a huge ammount of assignments but really well paid.
Waiting on about £45 from RE atm, and £60 or so from Gap. My bank account actually looks amazingly shodding today as my rent money came out (£240), I paid off the CC as I bought the laptop on it in case Dell went bust (£677), and I paid off a bike wheel (yes, just one!) I paid for for my brother on the CC too, but still need a bit of money back from him for (£185). I was doing so well at sticking to my challenge of sticking to £0 as well! Silly huge laptop! Have over £150 in paypal I still can't withdraw as well, at this rate I will be spectacularly behind on the clera 20k in 2009 challenge before Jan is even over!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Thanks for that- I think I will sign up to Gap and GFK as well and see how I get on.
It's such a pain when you're waiting for things to pay up, isn't it? Maybe you can catch up on the £20k challenge while you are at home if you feel up to it. I'm trying to pay of my overdraft and credit card as quickly as possible but it just doesn't feel as quick as I would like it to!!!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Shame about your OH not being able to come over. But at least you'll look lovely and fresh and not sick next time you see him. How did the x-ray go?
Sat looking around my room trying to get ideas for things to review on dooyoo, guess i could review on telly if its on their list!0 -
Yep I'm going to be really good GiSi and try to make a big push on the Ebay stuff while I'm off. Already have about 88 things on there. Want 100 more by the weekend. All I need now is a free listings day to relist the other things. Would like to push to £5 STP a day too since I keep flickering to 4 star, but I can't get it to work on the new laptop, which is driving me batty.
But I am going to be a bit good, and relax. Give me a chance to catch up on my reading matter. Only about 40 pages from the end of good old Gideon, then I'm going to start The Wedding Officer I think.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

So glad to see you're taking it easier, Dinah! Wish I could help you on getting the player on STP to work but I know nothing about computers! :rolleyes:0

I made it work! Very happy now! Have a completely working computer! Going to take tonight 'off' ie only STP and fiddlybits online, no ebay or parcel wrapping (only have one to do but it only sold an hour ago, it can wait). Will get back to having a to do list tomorrow.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Glad to hear it Dinah, you'll be rested and relaxed in no time! I had a huge to-do list for tonight but somehow it's got to 9.20 and I've only managd to make my packed lunch and plug my ipod in to charge. Will do a nice easy thing and book our weekend away, then need to have a look at my app and start jotting stuff down. Then I might finish my letter to my best friend. No Professor Layton for me tonight as my mysterious eye-ache has returned! See you in the morning my dears!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Ah sorry to hear you're not well still, Dinah. All best wishes for feeling better soon.
Can't believe your OH is doing 30 apps a day - eeeeek! I'm so sorry to hear he hasn't had more luck. A friend's girlfriend is looking for a training contract and she works in some kind of a law call centre. Other lawyers call in to find the relevant section of a judgement to use in their casework . . . or something like that!
Thanks Tete - the interview went ok. The first one in 3 years so I was a bit jibbery. Good to have one I didn't care too much about first. Hopefully I'll get a few more interviews too.
Birdie - have you thought of a netbook? These are cheap and look way better than the ebook readers. And they have all the functions of a very basic laptop (good if you're not into gaming or graphics stuff).

Thanks for that Lara, I might have to look into that! Although I'm a bit worried about reading books on a screen as it may make my eyes go doolally! The e-reader has quite a dull screen that looks more like a page and has had lots of reviews saying that people don't get any eye strain when reading. I'd be annoyed if I got rid of all my books and stuck them on a gadget to find that I can only spend 1/5th of the time reading as I used to because it hurts my eyes!
Hope you're feeling better today Dinah and you're nearing your 100 things on ebay goal!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
