What ever makes you say that?

I have to say, that last night, speeds were down to 1200,which I agree is low,but when you conside Tosscali's was as low as 200,I don't think I need to tell you what a difference it's made.

    Ken.

  • Tiscali customer care are dire. I had an account for low band with them but I couldnt access it as I had managed to forget my user name and password. Over I am ashamed to say about 15 months I had this accouint which I was paying for and couldnt use. Finally this summer I tried again but despite going through all their different supposedly help people.. they couldnt give me the details so I cancelled the account and stopped the direct debit. That was the beginning of August.

Two weeks later I rang to check that the account had been closed and was told that there was nothing on file and it was still open.. So.. I cancelled it again. This time was assured yes it was cancelled.. I cancelled my direct debit card.

Today I have just had a non payment bill from them for two months rental ..... What would people advise me to do?

Go thru their complaints process on their website, asking for a refund of charges paid over the 15 months due to their inability to provide you with the service you were paying for....ie they ddint give yuo a userID or password with which to use the account. If you get nowhere with the complaints process, which in my experience they just ignore (despite a bounceback email telling you how seriously they take complaints!!!) , you can then refer your case to the OTELO Ombudsman. They will likely force Tiscali to erfund your charges, and award you additionally with compensation......maybe £100 or so.

Keep everything with Tiscali in writing.......ask for their records of your contacts, and use your own emails etc as evidence.

Rush through the complaints process as your original problem was ages ago, you can then go straight to OTELO.
