Paypal need confirmation of delivery not confirmation of it being sent.
If items are over £36 then i suggest you send via recorded or special delivery to protect yourself.
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

As a buyer (I don't tend to sell), I always thought my transactions ruled by caveat emptor.

    More fool me, eh ?

It seems to be more a case of never trust the eastern European postage system !

You will lose the paypal claim as you can't prove delivery. However you can then reclaim your losses from the Royal mail by using your proof of postage asusming item was less than £36.

Do you know how you go about doing this ?

You sound like one of these seller who state "I cannot be held responsible for items lost in the post". Well you can and you are. Refund your buyer same paypal the effort and move on!

It sounds like I'll have to buy something of a similar value then claim it never arrived, just to balance things up. What a great system !

That statement will have just lost you any sympathy you might otherwise have got.

You are joking I take it, or are you out to prove that everyone is a thief or suchlike, if you are a crooked then I would suggest that MSE is not the place for you.
