B & B shares - would you buy now?

  • Another penny and you can get a packet of walkers crisps :rotfl:
  • So give up crisps for a year and buy 100 bb shares instead and who knows maybe you get lucky. Sounds reasonable to me :D

If you can actually get it to appear, the halifax let you do online live trading for 5 pounds for such low amounts. Anyone know somewhere else that do similar?

I will put in Birmingham Midshires where (if I understand the rules correctly) it would be 100% safe

    Why 100% safe?

I love how everyone stops posting in these scaremongering threads when the share price goes back to where it was at close.

They in fact currently up to 31p.
They used to be over £5. So it really doesn't matter if the share price goes from 25 pence to 30 pence on one particular day. It has still spectacularly tanked

If you want a gamble, then bank shares are worth betting a few quid. If the banks survive then you are likely to see a rise (eventually :D ).

In relation to B&B shares, "I wouldn't touch them with yours" :p

I'm interested to see what the dividend will be. I'm guessing it will be cut though but if its not it would be good to buy £100 worth just for that. I do wonder if they will be next to get taken over though!

Why are they more safe than B&B?

Because I have mortgages with BM and they are offest against any savings
