Delia has a nice recipe where you wrap the pork in foil with mushrooms on top, I think it may involve a tin of mushroom soup but could be any kind ...
Or you could go down the 'boulangere' route: slice your potatoes and onion thinly, layer them and the pork in a shallow dish, pour over seasond milk and bake.
Do I need to more precise than that, or can you muddle through? I'm a muddler, and I'm at work, so not much access to cookery books, and my lunch hour will end soon ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Got a big 4lb or 2.5kg piece of beef that I need to pop in my slow cooker for a 12 noon lunch tomorrow, how long should it take on low in a mr slow cooker?
Never seen a piece of beef that big before, but goy friends coming to visit.
Thanks0 -
If it's the 6.5 litre MR slow cooker that I've got it won't be as long as you'd think. I did a 4 and 1/2lb piece of brisket in mine a few weeks ago and it was done in 6hours. I browned the meat on all sides (holding it up with two wooden spoons as neccessary) before putting it into the slow cooker with chopped veggies & stock. HTH.0

It`s in a 3.5l MR, I normally put a small joint in before bed, so put it in about 3 hours early.
It only just fits in! So will turn it in the am, can not see that we will eat it all, 5 adults, 1 15 year old boy and 2 primary school aged boys.
Think it may be sliced up and put in the freezer, atleast I got it on offer.0 -
