i froze home made nan bread, and (drunkenly) made pizza from frozen. Was delicious. Did it sober too just to check it wasnt my drunken tastes thinking it was nice! just cook a few mins more . I drizzled olive oil on completed pizza before puitting in oven, not sure if that makes a huge amount of difference thoughA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I made pizza bases yesterday from a friend's recipe and she says to roll the bases out, put onto oiled tin foil (apparently this is very important) and freeze with greaseproof imbetween each layer. She then cooks them on the hottest oven setting possible from frozen for about 15 minutes. I would have thought this would work better for thin basesGod is good, all the time

Can anyone help - I am going to make hand made bread tonight. I have a tin that measures 6cm deep x 21cm long. Can anyone tell me if this is a 1lb or 2lb tin (the mixture makes 1x2lb or 2x1lb loaves)Mortgage 12/12/09 £39500

Wasnt entirely sure myself but this link suggests it would be a 2 lb tin going by the rough measurements (section at the bottom, third one up.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I have a couple of questions, I hope that's ok.
How long does banana bread/cake keep for? I made one last night (not realising how much it was going to make) so have far too much. I plan to ice it today whether that makes any difference.
Also, whenever I do the washing up and don't dry mugs/glasses afterwards (leave them until later on the morning) they smell really musty inside so I have to wash them again. Does anyone know why this might happen?
Thanks for any help!Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Not sure about the glasses/mugs. Is the draining board underneath clean with nothing spilled on it? Or try rinsing the glasses etc out under a tap before storing them on it? HTH0 -

Do you dry them on a dish drainer? I got a shock one day when I looked underneath mine  - didn't realise quite how much dirty slime had gathered there - still shudders at the thought! So bad, I actually chucked it out and bought a new one!! I now make sure that I give it a damn good clean everyday with the occasional soak in bleach after bleaching dish cloths.
Good luck!
Has anybody noticed how lots of draining boards these days don't actually drain very well? The grooves in mine are so shallow that the water doesn't actually move towards the sink - it just sits there with the dish drainer actually in the water. No wonder it got stinky/slimey
