I have a shallow glass dish for quiche and it's always been fine, i don't blind bake the base and find it takes a little longer than the recipe says but they always taste good and i've never had a soggy bottom :o
I've always used glass ones too with no problems. I baked it blind once & can honestly say that I didn't notice the difference. I make a large quiche to feed 6 of us and haven't yet found a big enough fluted metal flan dish - not that I've exactly looked hard though :rotfl:

Penelope Penguin Thank you for the mention of gallette I'm definitely going to give that a go :T

Hiya peeps two quick questions. I'm on a no diary diet at the moment, and want to make veggie burgers with lentils, stuffing and carrot pulp. What can I use apart from egg to hold it together?

Also I made some wedges recently and froze them. Can I heat them up in the oven from frozen?

    Thanks :D
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T

    Hi all, another question!

I have two sweet potato's and half a butternut squash to use up aswell as lots of peppers (and salad with peppers already in) - any idea what I can do with them for dinner tonight? Can I make mash out of BNS maybe mixed with normal potato? Usually I chop everything together and have them roasted but we've done that twice this week already!

You can make mash it's lovely and orange and goes really well on a veggie shepherd's pie (shepherdess pie, I think that is :p ).

You could always make "orange soup" by cooking the sweet potato, squash, onions, and carrot of you have, in stock, then liquidising. Serve with cream and crusty bread and cheese.

I'd then chop and freeze the peppers to go into a pasta sauce later.

    Hi
I am making a beanbag for my granddaughter and would like your thoughts on whether or not to put a zip in the liner as well as the bag itself. It's been years:o since I made one of these and cannot remember if I needed to top-up with beads often enough to warrant a zip!

    TIA

Hi all. I am making a pie for tomorrow, and it only has a pastry top. If i make it up tonight and put in fridge until tomorow, will the pastry go soggy? Sounds so silly......

Late mothers day dinner so has to be perfect, pressures on!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
