Hi. Still haven't found the recipe for the after eight mints. Can anyone help please?
I ended up smearing it on some greaseproof paper and flattening it out between 2 layers. Tastes okay, but i would love to have it looking neat so that I can use it as gifts.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

I've looked but can't find it. Maybe it wasn't a post put was a link...? I quite like the idea of sweet potato fish cakes - yes you could freeze them
The squash would probably be ok just chopped and frozen, although I'd cook then mash/puree, then it could easily be used for soup.
Oops edited to add, I wouldn't peel it if chopping to freeze; if you roast it you can leave the peel on and eat it (or not as you choose).0 -

I can't find it either, maybe it was called something different? Do you mean you melted the choc then stirred in pulverised mints? That sounds as though it would work, if you then poured it onto parchment and left it to half-set you should be able to cut it (either into squares with a knife, or cut out rounds).
If it's any help, you can mix granulated sugar with a few drops of peppermint oil and mix that into melted chocolate to make mint choc crisps:)0 -

(I clicked on the link in post 1, but it couldn't be found)
I have a Tesco Cheese & Bacon Quiche - use by 23-10-11. Normally I'm not too worried about dates, but don't you have to be careful with egg products?
Thanks!
(I'd normally ask my mum, but she's on holiday this week!:o)
I might have used it on the 24th but after that I think it needs to be binned.Household: Laura + William-cat

The recipe I read on here was the pulverised mints one. The problem is that once you stir the mints into the melted choc, it goes thick as if you put a load of icing sugar in IYKWIM. I have a plastic thing that other chocs or something came in and I hid it in the back of the cupboard to use to make these.
I have done the peppermint chocs before, and, tbh, they were nicer. Think I may just do those, cos I know I can pour them. I have demerara and granulated..... which would be best?Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

I've only used granulated, demerara would give a different flavour; some may like it but mixed with mint I think it might be a bit odd.0

It was demerara that I used the only time I made them. I will give the granulated a go this time.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Hi, Can I just ask, if I make up a pasta/potato/rice salad at the weekend to use for work lunches, how long can I keep it in the fridge for safely? Does this change if I put meat or chicken in? I have no idea, please help?0
