Is broth just a fancy word for stock?
Where can i buy corn starch? is there another word for it?

Corn starch is cornflour and should be sold in most shops in the baking section
Broth i THINK is a watery soup - but i dont reaaaaaaaaly know how to explain!

I always thought broth meant thick soup cos I'm scottish though having read some of that link and a google now I know :rotfl:0

I was trying to make the HM after eights. Can't find the recipe anywhere and didn't write it down.
I melted the dark choc, whizzed up the extra strong mints but its quite solid.

Quick Question on Use By Dates
(I clicked on the link in post 1, but it couldn't be found)
I have a Tesco Cheese & Bacon Quiche - use by 23-10-11. Normally I'm not too worried about dates, but don't you have to be careful with egg products?

American recipes sometimes call stock, broth and corn starch is the American term for corn flour.I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly
