Evening all
I have a quick question...
A recipe in my meal plan next week calls for breadcrumbs and I have some in the freezer. Do I need to defrost them to use? or use from frozen?
They are forming a crust on fish (which is to be cooked from frozen) which is going in the oven.
Thank yoooooooou!0 -
Hi seehar,
I use mine from frozen and they're fine. I store them in a bag in the freezer and a couple of bangs off the garage wall and they loosen up enough to coat fish.

Can someone tell me how much dry rice will make approximately 2lb of cooked rice?
Roughly is fine.
Thanks,
MBEIf you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Not quite the answer you're looking for, but it doubles in volume when you cook it, so 1 cup of dried rice makes 2 cups of cooked rice (roughly). Not sure that that is of any use to you though.0

Hi all:j
Does anyone know if I can freeze fresh yeast - and then defrost & use it, or will the freezing kill it off? Sorry if it's a bit of a blonde question:DNew start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Thanks Frog. I cooked two cups, which came in at just short of 1½lb. Which was round about the right amount, as it happens. Recipe said 2lb, but that seemed a lot.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
