I would. Next time though...do you know anyone with chickens? My neighbour's pet chickens LOVED the apple mush left in the jelly bag after my last jelly making session. Nom!

Found some Costco frozen fish pieces in the freezer but lost the box. How long generally should these take to cook (in the oven) ?

    25 minutes?

Or phone them and ask them to look at a box for you.

    Hiya,

Sorry to ask this, I'm sure its been asked many a time before.

Its with regards to cooked chicken, is it possible for the breast to be cooked and the legs not.

This particular chicken weighed 1.45kg and was in the oven for 85mins at gas mark 6
80 mins according to the instructions on the packet.

    Oven is fine btw.

The chicken was golden and looked lovely, I pieced the skin quite a few times and the juice did indeed run clear. I tested the screwer and that was indeed red hot.
So sliced the breast for myself and OH. Had dinner, then when I came to portion it up, as I have done many a time. I took the skin off the leg and it was pinkish, I know that close to the bone the skin is pinker/redder but this seemed alot more so.

Also in the leg joint, there was what looked to me like red blood vessels.

I'm wondering wether it could have done with another half-an-hour at least.

I'm afraid the whole lot went in the bin  :o

Sorry to ask such a basic question, being as its now in the bin, but its bothering me and I'd like your opinions please.

If its relevent, it was a Sainsburys £4.00 chicken, is this an advert for buying better quality, I wonder.

That's funny, I've had the same thing twice, also with sainsbugs chicken. We just ate them :)!

We usually have the legs off chickens first, so you get a chance to see what's what, but I've been known to carve what's OK and stick the rest back in the oven for 15 minutes, well covered with foil!
