  • I don't know Crabman, but I'd be interested to know the answer too, I am doing my shopping tomorrow and will be in Asda and Aldi too, so will check those.

What sort of paint? Gloss, silk, emulsion?

Have you tried plain water? Don't rub too hard!

Did you have any luck at Aldi/Asda Jackie?

I managed to check Sainsbury's yesterday and they're still selling Olive Oil in glass bottles for the same price as Tesco's plastic. :T

(Re the olive oil in plastic)
I do agree they should lower the price. On the other hand, I'm buying it as it's much lighter (can't carry much), plus it can go in the recycling bag that's collected, instead of having to take it to the bottle bank.
  • I know that some fruits aren't suitable for putting in jelly - but are grapes okay? I wanted to make an interesting alternative for the kids pudding?
Thanks in advance for any replies :)

    Grapes are fine :T

Kiwi and pineapple are problematical as they contain an enzyme which breaks down the jelly :) Tinned fruit is fine, as the enzyme is denatured in the cooking process ;)

  • Can anyone think of how to make this activity link to literacy?

So, I can see how you can unfold the collar (undoing the last step) and use them to write messages in but I could use a clearer link.

    Thanks!

Hi - a using up soup recipe question - do you think this would work?

A friend at work has just given me just under half a carton of Covent Garden Chicken Soup because she's not in for the rest of the week but I can't think what to do with it apart from freeze it as I won't need it for lunches. So, if I mixed it with pasta, mushrooms, peas, spinach and sweetcorn and put it in the oven, would that be nice? I know you can make that kind of thing with condensed mushroom soup but this isn't condensed (although it is very thick).

    What do you think?
