Excellent! It's a pretty good quality non-stick tin too so that should help. I now have all sorts of pie-making schemes
Yup, with cabbage you will be able to see easily if it has spoiled, if it isn't brown, slimy, mouldy or anything like that it should be fine. If you still aren't quite sure then nibble on a tiny bit raw before you use it?0 -
Can I freeze, thaw, then refreeze lamb mince ??0

ok ta but I just realised something. What I did was I froze some raw. Then I cooked another lot & froze it. Now I have mixed the 2 lots together and cooked it all. So can I re-freeze or not ? LOL sorry I can confuse meself sometimes, nevermind other people !0

Hi mardatha,
If I was you I wouldn't freeze it again. If I understand you correctly the cooked lamb would then have been cooked, frozen, defrosted, mixed with raw lamb, reheated, frozen for a second time and then if you re-freeze it, will be defrosted for a second time and heated for a third time. It might be fine, but it goes against all the guidelines and to me wouldn't be worth the risk.
I expect that's not the answer you wanted but there are too many opportunities there for bacteria to multiply and cause food poisoning. Is there any way you can use it to make a couple of minced lamb based meals and keep one in the fridge for another night?
