I dont know what these are called, I always called them crumpets but my neighbour says no. Round and about half an inch thick, not like scones though, much floppier. The top is dark brown and you eat them with butter or jam on. What is this mystery object ? :D
And more important - where can I get a recipe !

    Muffins perhaps?

    Nice...I like muffins....:D

    Errr...no...second thoughts...maybe blinis....also very nice...

They sound like scotch pancakes to me - I've made them before using this recipe and they were really tasty, if these are what you're thinking of. (And even if they're not, they're lovely! ;))

    Bake Off Boss!
They could be Scotch Pancakes which are also known as griddle/girdle scones.
Haven't had any homemade ones for years. Really gorgeous & simple to make.

    Hi Kaedee :j

OK, let's see if i can find what you are looking for :p

    Monthly meal planner

    Shopping monthly vs weekly

Does anyone do a monthly shop?

As requested - monthly menu plan and notes (etc, long title:p)

    My monthly grocery organisation

Meal planning - weekly, fortnightly or monthly

    Monthly excel food planner

    Hopefully it's within these threads?

Here's what I did to search

Top right click "search this forum" and select "advanced search"

Where it says search by keyword - change the drop down to "titles only" and type in "monthly"

    Click "search now"

That should bring you up a list :j Let me know if this helps and I'll do a little dance :p

The distinctive thing about crumpets is that they are smooth one side and full of holes the other. I've never seen anything else that was like that.
