OK, so on Saturday morning I discovered that the remains of a bag of frozen lamb mince had 'escaped' from the freezer and sat in the cold utility room overnight.
I stuck it in the fridge to think about later.
Normally I'd have cooked it up and stuck it back in the freezer, but the freezer is full to bursting. And I had a busy weekend so didn't even get round to cooking it up and sticking it back in the fridge.
So it's still just a bag of cold raw lamb mince sat in the fridge.
Is it dead, do you think? There's not too much of it, so not a total disaster, just I HATE throwing food away!
Or is it a 'sniff it and see' situation?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Saturday Sunday monday tuesday? I would say it's good to go but use your own discretion and sniff it like your life depends on itA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Any ideas how to get coffee stains out of a very cheap kitchen worktop?
I knew it was cheap when i moved in so i thought i was beeing clever covering the worktop with glass top savers, but i have just gone to clean under them and Oh must have spilt coffee in the last couple of days as its stained the tops.
tried scrubbing with washing up liquid, ciff and flash spray but its still there!
Any ideas please?0 -
I use a little bit of bleach! Depends how you feel about that, but it's never harmed any of my work surfaces and I've used it for years!

Right - where does a washing machine get its hot water from? Is it from my gas heating (which is currently disconnected, so hence needing to know - would rather not put it on unless i know the wash will be proper!)
Any ideas? Silly?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Hi zippy,
My old washing machine was hot and cold fill so had two pipes one leading to the cold water and the other to the hot water.
My new one (like most modern ones) is cold fill only and has just the one pipe and the machine heats the water from cold. I think you'll need to either check the manual or the back of the machine to see if yours is cold fill only. If it's fairly new it probably will be as most machines made these days are.
