Woo hoo!!!
Dh decided to have a fit about the house yesterday. Anyway, the result =
OUT:- naff pretend gold ID bracelet DH's gran gave him years ago - never worn, kept for sentimental reasons
- Hair clippers - don't use them - freecycled
- Boxed playdough set to freecycle
- 1/2 bin liner of clothes to recycling bin
- 1/2 bin liner of clothes to freecycle - will be charity shopped if not collected - too good for recycling (includes a brand new pair of trousers)
- free airline bag - no-one wanted it on f/c, so had to go in bin
- ornamental jug to pile to go to WI stall
- 90 + items sorted & labelled for NCT sale this coming weekend (any kids toys they chose to get rid of they get the money for if they sell - good incentive!!)
- bin liner of junk/ broken toys etc from DS1's room
- rocking horse (baby style one) to attic for next baby
- lots of paper rubbish from DS1's room to recycling
15 items are on ebay - 4 have bids and there are 40 watchers overall. I plan on listing another dozen over today/ tomorrow too. Almost getting addicted to decluttering!! (shame I have to get on and do some cleaning today!!)

A couple of things gone on freecycle, those that haven't can go to the charity shop. Doing well with sorting stuff and get rid of paper as soon as we've finished with it, which I think it half the battle.
Only bought 2 clothing items since Christmas, and one was a new dress for a wedding so I'm pleased.
Oh and only 1 carrier bag in too all year, and that was Woolies just before it closed as we got lots of empty DVD cases and we hadn't planned to buy loads of things that day
Been being a good oldstyler too - old bits of wool are being made into a blanket (with a few new bits and bobs I have to admit), lots of old veg made into soups for lunch so lots of stuff is being used up, peelings etc into compost bin.
We're going to fortnightly bin collections soon and are probably some of the only people who won't notice - our weelie bin only goes out once every 4 weeks (there are only 2 of us though).Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

I've just read through the last few pages on here. So wonderful - thank you all for posting when you do this. This is my list in the last week:
- lots of chucking-away of paper
- bag of stuff ready for the charity shop
- some stuff to the bin.
- another pile brought down to the laptop to list on amazon - if not, then to charity shop, I've made a decision not to get into ebay.
- weeding in the garden - two bags of rubbish!
- and the weirdest of all - huge bag of dried up eggshells in the kitchen - I'm slowly breaking them up to use on my square foot gardening patch.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well my ploy posting on freecycle with the message "last call before landfill" worked! I managed to get three takers for my piles of spare plastic pots for the garden. Now I will be able to move the compost heaps across to the old storage area and plant my nectarine against the wall where the compost heaps used to sit.
The chickens are doing a great job keeping the food leftovers down in the kitchen.
In: 6 fresh laid eggs!
Out: 8 carriers of flower pots & a pile of Sunday lunch veggie leftovers! Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

I have started on the bedroom today in earnest! I needed to free up some space in the wardrobe, so have used a combination of charity sacks and vacuum storage packs for summer clothes to free up the rails.
I am having a real problem storing jumpers and cardigans easily and neatly. I fold them up but many of my cardigans are big loungey ones and so bulky - what does everyone else do?
I plan to list some items on ebay this week too. I have a couple of cameras to sell for parts, a couple of older antique cameras, my panasonic 254 breadmaker and a few other bits and pieces. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
