Out:
More recycling boxes and bits.
1 bag of polystyrene
In:
Christmas shopping (almost finished:j )
A BIG torch (going to be great to see where we're walking on Bonfire night when we go to the organised display, although its lit in the actual park, the roads getting there can be a bit dark & slippery with lots of leaves on the ground)
Proper hairdressing scissors & a cape with a shelf so I can trim DDs hair myself and they only cost me £1.99:money:
Black dye so I can redye DD's & my black jeans which are looking scruffy.
DIY goggles so I can protect my eyes and can stop wearing my sunglasses indoors :rotfl:
Proper freezer bag clips so I can stop using pegs which keep popping off.
A Beano savings tin - for me to start doing a £2 tin and I got DD a replacement HSM one after we raided her last one
New handles for DD's new wardrobe & desk - the ones supplied were pathetic plastic ones which I know she'll snap - these are chunky silver ones and at just 99p each will do the jobI bought them loose hence so cheap - to buy a packet of 8 would cost £8.99 and a 10 pack was £10.99 - 11 individual ones cost me £10.98 :money:;)
Some candle sticks for dinner candles - Everywhere seems to do tealight ones or want a kidney or something for a candlearbra style one, got 2 in my local DIY store at £1.99 each
a book called "Vinegar Nature's Secret Weapon" with honey & garlic bonus sections for 99p in hospice charity shop
Only one problem though....I'm off out for one more shopping trip - somewhere I usually end up taking my DD so never get to look properly...this could prove dangerousCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hoping to post back later having done some more decluttering! DH not good at the mo so rummaging in the bedroom for microwave hot bottle. Cant find it (!) but have found lots more goodies suitable for ebay so lots of listing to do later.
IN:
Few competition wins
Groceries
Cellophane ex ebay for Christmas
Chestnuts and pumpkins to be sorted (cooked)
OUT:
Paperwork shreddings
Some of DD's old toys
Bits of paperwork
Stuff from cupboard not opened for months (!)
Ebay sales
Must get back in that bedroom. Mostly struggling to find somewhere to store bedding - we don't have an airing cupboard. Will post back later if I get anything done! Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

10 plastic shoe boxes for hubby
20 plastic shoe boxes for me
5 plastic boot boxes long for me
2 plastic boot boxes short me
8 plastic handbag storage boxes for me
Plastic 4 drawer wheeled trolley for my make up/ hairdryer and spare toiletries
There is a theme here, have sold quite a bit on Ebay and have used the money to buy the above, will now be sorting out our bedroom, wardrobe/drawers etc and being thoroughly ruthless.
OUT
Cardboard packaging
Veggie peelings
Plastic, tin & paper to recycling bin
The loft is now finished and hubby has laid the loft boards, I can now safely go up there and walk around.
All xmas decorations are now in plastic storage boxes, DD's collectables that I collected for her over the years are now in boxes.
Her DVD collection is now boxed up.
All empty packaging has been recycled and there is so much room up there and it is so tidy, now to finish the kitchen that we started :rolleyes:0 -

earthmother wrote: »... now I have 8 collapsable crates full of carboot stuff ready for the weekend, and another 5 of old clothes that will either go to the local dress agency or be bundled up for the paper... we were gifted a nice big chest freezer from freecycle ... my sights are on the kids rooms
Another month, another load of stuff 'out'
Did the carboot, but barely broke even, and the paper was a dead loss too, so most of it has gone to local charities etc.
Decided to regift the freezer - it's proving too big for us and is taking up the space I desperately need for the tumble dryer (that's what happens when you let DH do the asking - only needed a little one) - hopefully it will be gone in a day or two. (Edit - it's gone - yay! - and I already have the tumble dryer up and running - no more soggy laundry)
Still not got to the kids rooms - but won't be long now as I'm not going to let them make their christmas lists until the rooms are done - mean mummy, lol
I've freecycled all the empty removals boxes (over 40!) - they were taking up space in the garage and I don't intend to need that many next time around - and I've emptied 18 collapsible crates now, although I won't be getting rid of them.
I've taken the opportunity to clear out a load of old 'keep it for spare' bedding etc as school are having a 'Bag 2 School' textiles collection on Tuesday - there are 4 black bags currently sitting in the porch ready to go (can three children really need that many sheets and duvet sets? How did we have two 'rag bags' waiting to go to the clothes bank yet lost in the garage?).
Some Little Tikes garden toys the boys have grown out of (or will have by next summer) have gone to playgroup, and all the bikes etc are safely stored in the shed out of the weather, so I can actually walk across the patio without tripping now, and the lawn isn't covered in bright plastic - even the dinosaurs have come in from the flower beds
I've even unpacked that box that never gets unpacked - you know the one - it follows you from house to house but you never open it - well, I did - and you know what - most of it went to the charity shop :j
Overall, I'm feeling quite proud of October's achievements :TDFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -
