  • Well, I have brought in - milk! I am reasonably confident that this doesn't count, especially as I adore milky tea.

Out - well, two things listed so far on ebay,
several cardboard boxes that I had put aside 'just in case'. I am on excellent terms with local shops so I am confident I could find a box if I needed one!

Yesterday was empty bins day and the binmen came this morning with their usual subtle crash bang shout.

I can't seem to get on to Freecycle, it seems to be done through Yahoo and unfortunately I can't get my Yahoo account to work :o But I have been very stern with myself. If it has to go, it has to go. When I have space to store for recycling then I shall be more conscientious but until that time I shall do what I have to do to declutter.

:o Dear heart keeps putting glass in the bin. Our recycling collections won't take glass. I must, as a matter of urgency, find a place to take glass bottles and such.

I am resolved to keep posting here. At least then I can keep motivated and buck my ideas up!

Haven't been on since saturday so since then

Out: Two bags for the charity shop one stuff to sell the other rags. A box full of clothes for my brother, two pairs of curtains and two bottles of bleach. And some christmas cards for my mum. 3 x metal sweet/biscuit tins not longer need. Problem was one was full of biscuits that where 5 months out of date  chucked them. And some cardboard that went off to recycling centre. Where I discovered that they take Juice cartons :j.

In: A craft tube which is a christmas present.

I took hours cleaning and tidying up the kitchen. Shall see how long that it lasts :rotfl:

I have one more cupboard to sort out now in the kitchen and then I think that we are de-cluttered in there for the time being.

    Yours

    Calley

We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • Isn't it strange how when you bring something in and you don't have anywhere to put something and you just put it down it stays there and stays there. I have just moved a quantity of bags from underneath my kitchen table

(Out - one rusty nicer dicer that was a completely unwanted gift)

and they have been sitting there for so long, and it only took a few minutes. Of course, when little bear isn't having a nap I am going to have to move the unwanted children's videos from the top of the freezer to his room, so that they can be displayed whenever darling uncle visits.

Actually, I think that last sentence contained a revelation. I shall think about that some more. I may be able to evict more clutter than I thought, if I am resolute enough.

Oh well we had a strange mix of stuff for tea and will be doing the same for the next 2 nights at least!!!

I'm lucky that we can put glass in our recycle bags, other than that I need to go to the local garden centre as the glass bottle banks are there. Must say, the wine consumption has decreased since I had to put glass bottles in clear bags outside my house..much easier to dump 20 or so wine bottles in the bottle bank ;)
