Go on weezl show us fergs gorgeous chubby thighs and that double chin...he sooooo cute but mummy and daddy still wont let me kidnap him...Can confirm that the cake is yummy...didnt realise it was boiled will have to give us the recipe...wonder if its worth starting a new fresh thread with a new challenge so that newbies wont be off put by the length of this one?

Am doing okish on my budget which has 50 this month for food...19 left and 20 days to go but a full fridge and lots in the freezer and cupboards...do need to buy a broom though!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Been missing you lass....:T0 -
Yayyy, welcome back Weezl! :j:j It's lovely to see you posting and to hear about Fergus and your new budget etc, and I agree with ISOM, maybe a new thread with the new challenge in the title so people can see the changes without going through the old one?
I am sure that doing a new thread would take time but I know lots of people who love your thread would help if needed. Even me and I am not a reg poster I know, but I do dip in and catch up!
I have been making new sandwich fillers/dips lately and have a couple of recipes that are rather nice - would anyone be interested? I think they are fairly frugal and easy to make.
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
Great to hear from you weezl and Fergus is gorgeous (but you knew that!).
I would love to follow your new challenge but of course understand it may be too time consuming for you to post.

glad to see you back, I need to work on my budget a bit more and you did loads to inspire me last time so I shall be waiting for guidence from the Oracle that is Weezl:D
P.S. Wouldn't mind a piccy of Fergus (funny how I couldn't think of him as anything other than a Fergus!)0 -
Hiya slm and bunny200
the green pea soup was ever so easy, I boiled then liquidised an enormous 1.8kg bag of frozen peas with garlic, salt and pepper and a stock cube. I think it's yummy! I boiled it down til it was a very thick mush, so it's double concentrated and fits into a tiny food saver (each portion does I mean!) in the freezer. I made 18 servings so it's 70cals per serving...
Sandwich fillings, slm have you tried sun-dried tomato houmous? It's lovely! Will just do some maths and pop back with a recipe....

ooh i was just about to delete the link to this thread and here you all are posting
I would be happy with £90 a week to be honest at the mo as uni is taking up so much time and baking and breadmaking not as evident as once were
Plus the garden is taking over a bit
going to look through the old recipes for inspiration
the neck/shoulder problem i have is in a good place at the min due to accupuncture and physio but i have to have a hyserectomy now(it never rains)
Doing ok on the 4k challenge but not on 4k and managed to save £2,200 since the new year despite all the garden expenditure!!!
