i have no problem with giving to charity and frequently do...i just wonder if pigsback fail to track asos purchases and snapfish purchases and various other things, how do we know they are giving to charity, the points might dissapear into a black hole as happens when i seem to click to go through to asos how reliable are their systems or them ppl have been waiting months for L2S vouchers sometimes they dont arrive at all, is this happening with the charity donations we dont know...do we? Democracy is a process by which the people are free to choose the man who will get the blame.:j0 -

Goodness, people! I'm not the only one who's a bit cynical, am I?
The Boots vouchers didn't turn up, either ...
It's good having Darragh come on and chat here, but really, promises shouldn't be made if they can't be kept.Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -
I got the following reply from Rachel mallon about my lottery piggy points.......Hi S
There is no record of the registration through our site however on this occasion, I have arranged the PiggyPoints to be issued.
Please expect them within the next two days.
Kind Regards,
Rachel
EDIT
I've just sent the following reply...........Hi Rachel
Thankyou for issuing the points. I have another points query, I orderd a CD from CD Wow via pigsback on 17.11.05. How long will it take for those points to be credited to my piggy bank??

It's a Marketing firm - doesn't that pre-req the ability to break promises on an ongoing basis?0 -

I think people need to understand that Darragh is not personally putting the Boots vouchers up. He was told a date and he was good enough to pass that date onto us. If the tech dept. doesn't do as it says it is going to do, we can't blame Darragh. I spoke to Darragh earlier today and he said the Boots vouchers will probably be up tomorrow now (depending on the Tech dept).
People really need to lighten up a little. If we keep having digs at Darragh when things that are beyond his control don't go to plan (and when he's been good enough to come on here and try to help), I can see him not coming back anymore.
Try to keep it civil, guys. After all, the majority of us aren't even spending money through Pigsback. Oh, and before anyone says that Darragh wasn't civil, I think he was well within his rights to post such a reply considering the amount of personal stick he's getting from some posters on this site, including people posting snippets of personal messages that really should remain personal. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

I have physically searched on the site as well (not relying on their search engine) and I can't find hide nor hair of it either - sorry
Thanks for the eye test, Kazzea! I'll wait until tomorrow to hear from Pigsback (here or in response to my email) and if there's no piggypoints for John Lewis, I'll just buy without points.......0 -
MyUserNamesTaken,
firstly, I don't see that anyone on this board hasn't been civil, with the exception perhaps of you accusing people of not being civil.
Secondly, there have been many broken promises from Pigsback. To expect that promises are being kept is only fair (and civil).
Thirdly, Darragh posted here yesterday "We will be replacing them with Boots vouchers (due live today or tomorrow)". He is a representative of Pigsback, so as far as I am concerned, Pigsback made this promise, and I take anything Darragh posts here as an official Pigsback statement. I understand that the best plans might have to change, but then he could have dropped in here for 30 secs and said "sorry, plans are changed" or similar. Instead, it appears we are expected to accept broken promises and keep quiet. Everybody's choice whether they keep quiet or not - my choice is to speak up.
Finally - and I won't repeat again in detail what I posted in earlier threads: Pigsback are not a charity that looks after us. They are a commercial outfit who provides a service, we are their customers, it is people like us who keep them in business (or not, as the case may be). An astute business listens intensely to their customers, and makes every effort to have highly satisfied customers.
BTW - I would be interested to know how you know that "the majority of us aren't even spending money through Pigsback"?
EDITED: MyUserNamesTaken, you may not have seen this in an earlier posting because I think you may only recently have joined the Pigsback thread: On Nov 11, Darragh posted here a PROMISE (his uppercase) that the Boots vouchers will be with us within 10 days. Now, he may have meant 10 working days, but I had taken this as 10 calendar days, and I think quite a few others also did (not least because of subsequent comments from Darragh about the Boots vouchers).
And just finally finally: it isn't the case that Darragh only gets flack - he was thanked 93 times in 21 posts, and has also received several positive responses to his postings (incl from myself). I really cannot see what is wrong with people expressing not only their praise, but also their dissatisfaction. After all, Darragh came on this forum because he knew that people were not entirely happy with some aspects of Pigsback. If I were Darragh and Pigsback, I would be delighted to have a bunch of customers who speak their minds, because that would enable me to improve my service!0
